If you are looking for something to do outdoors in the sunshine, then taking a visit to a local putt-putt golf range might be just what you need. This past weekend I went to Krystal Falls Golfland in Battle Creek, Michigan with my little brother from the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program. We were on our way back from a dog show in Kalamazoo, and we got the idea to go have a little fun outdoors.
He suggested we stop at Krystal Falls Golfland, and so we were off. There are 18 holes at Krystal Falls Golfland, and they are located at: 15190 Helmer Rd, in Battle Creek, Michigan. It is easy to find behind the Meijers grocery store on Columbia Ave and Helmer Rd.
Some of the basic course etiquette of playing putt-putt golf are as follows:
The game of golf was quite reasonable, and cost the two of us a total of $15. Besides the golf game, you can avail yourself of a hot pretzel, cotton candy, pizza, hot dog, ice cream bars, sno cones, potato chips, corn ships and candy bars at your pleasure at the concession stand. They now also serve slushees in both the cherry and blue raspberry flavors too.
Ironically, while I was there starting to play a game with my little brother, a colleague and fellow Realtor from my Realty office showed up behind us with his two daughters to play as well. So it was kind of a groups activity to watch and see how we all did.
Par for the entire course is 40, and I finished with a score of 73 (33 over par) and my little brother finished with a score of 75 (35 over par). I felt victorious only for about an hour, as he later destroyed me in a game of air hockey at the local movie theatre.
So if you are looking for a fun activity for the the family which is inexpensive, for just a few hours time, consider checking out Krystal Falls Golfland in Battle Creek, Michigan. Whether you are new to putt-putt golf, or a seasoned vet, you will have a lot of fun with the course.

For investors, one of the key challenges is to acquire investment properties in a high demand area of the City to minimize vacancy rates. At this time, Lakeview Area Investment Properties in Battle Creek, Michigan seem to be in the highest demand. To any investor who seeks to acquire a portfolio of homes in and around the Battle Creek area, one should definitely consider Lakeview Area Investment Properties.
There is nothing like popular public opinion to drive a market, and in the Battle Creek area, homes in the Lakeview School District tend to have a higher preference level to other areas of town. Statistical comparisons of SAT score of the local school districts of Battle Creek, Harper Creek, Pennfield and Lakeview does not create any distinguishing difference of one being superior to the others academically. In fact, depending on what research website you visit, you get different results.
So one would have to assume it is something more that the academics of the local school systems that are holding the market values of the Lakeview School District homes over the others.
Lakeview has the virtue of the lakes of Battle Creek, including most notably ‘Goguac Lake'. By comparison, Harper Creek School District has Beadle Lake, and Pennfield School District has ‘Clear Lake', but Lakeview seems to have a more developed infrastructure than these other two.
There are also well established golf courses, shopping districts, a mall, and walking paths through the area that perhaps add to the value and overall pride of ownership in the neighborhoods, beyond the school system performance on any given year.
Regardless of these details, investors will find that homes for rent in Lakeview tend to get more calls, and requests, than those in other areas of Battle Creek.
Lakeview Area Investment Properties sale value is normally higher than these other areas. One might find a higher purchase point on a distressed property in Lakeview than other parts of town. However, combine this with higher property taxes on non-homestead properties; the area commands a higher rent per square foot of home.
Investors that own Lakeview Area Investment Properties that I have worked with find homes that are 2 or 3 bedrooms that they own have rented for anywhere from $750 to as high as $2000 depending on the size of the home, the condition and amenities.
With the rise of the foreclosure market, there are often surprise deals on homes that are distressed being marketed in the area. Because of the desirability of the district, and the popularity among investors, purchasers need to be able to review a new property and respond quickly with an offer in order to acquire Lakeview Area Investment Properties.
Having a Realtor that is familiar with the local market and distressed property can e key to your success. Give me a call, and I would be happy to help you achieve your goals.
