New Day Church on the Hill has something to Celebrate today (May 22, 2011). They are now proud property owners! As of January, 2011 New Day Church on the Hill purchased the property located at 2965 Wycliffe Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. This is located at the corner of Thorncrest SE and Cascade Road.
Today they will host a wonderful celebration to kick off the beginning of joining a great community. Today will also feature the Christian band of Carpenter's Cross from 2-4 today.
Punch and cake will be served and tours will be given of the grounds and church itself. Meet families and friends within the community to share the wonderful work New Day has in store...

Have you gotten your website domain expiration notice yet?
Be a bit cautious when you get a website domain expiration notice in the mail from a Domain Registration company. It has your domain name and the words "Domain Name Expiration Notice"!
The truth is they are trying to get you to switch domain name registration companies. In my case the domain name is not expiring until March 22, 2011. So they are looking a providing the unsuspecting registrant a quick easy method to update their domain registration. The issue is you pay more...$30.00 per year, you authorized transfer control of your domain to them.
There is a domain registration regulation that says you have a choice do not have to register your domain
name or renew it with their current registrar.
I own over 600 domain names and use a bulk registration service to renew. For most people having a couple domain names is more than adequate.
Making sure your domain stays where you want it hosted is easy. Remember there are these slick offers that may seem to be from your current domain registrar that changes your cost and registration location.
They ask you for a credit card and even give you an on-line location to make the change.
Like anything else today deception, is part of the new marketing strategy.
We know it, we see it but it is hard to believe get taken with these type of bait and switch program.
Just thought it might save you from some domain name registration frustration.

Shop local isn't shopping at the Wal Mart or Lowe's although they may be close or easy access.
I can't say bad things about large "Box Store Retailers", they have
the purchasing power to generate some fantastic prices. Some of them even have return policies that allow you to exchange your defective product! Many local people depend on the job they have a those retailers.
Shopping local is the grocery store, hardware store, gas station. Have you gotten to know any of the employees at these stores? My wife drives 15 miles across town to get her hair cut. She has used the same person for years. (I am not saying my wife is OLD...thought I would make sure everyone knows! including my wife, she sometimes reads my posts!)
This loyalty is from good service. Listening and providing what is needed. I have a client that asked where I shop for groceries...I actually do very little shopping but my wife uses one of the locally owed chains. She likes the service and the vegetables are always fresh along with the meats. He said, he uses the same store. His comment was they treat him like a person not a customer.
I asked a bit more about his statement. What is the difference, a person or a customer, they seemed the same? He said, like you...you listen, share and engage that is treating people like people. Customer are talked at...given instructions or informaiton and next...is the feeling you leave with once helped. You are just another face when you are a customer.
This brought back what it is about real estate that I like. The personal contacts and interactions. Sometimes that's the same reason I hate real estate too! We can joke about this but the facts are plain and simple.
You can grow your real estate business by listening. Listen to what people want from an agent. What is the service they expect from you?
Here is a key component to success in any industry but especially real estate. Provide a service that creates a lasting relationship. You will get more referrals and your business will last when others are long forgotten. Think of the family hardware store. They are always friendly and helpful. They don't always have everything in stock but they can get it delivered on the next truck! The local pharmacy, grocery store or gas station...if you get to know them they will help you increase your business.

I see blogs that are very nice yet they get very little activity.
This is because of how they are marketed by the owner. If you are waiting for someone to stumble on your great post you might be just as likely to be hit by lighting!
If you connect your blog within your emails, your website, and your brochures and printed materials...promote your blog you will see traffic. Any websites that you belong too ad your blog link where allowed.
Think of this one...FREE PROMOTION...do a news release for your local newspaper about you blog and the
techical advantages you offer. Some will publish it some won't. Ever heard of CraigsList? Have you published your blog under services offer? Do you offer free real estate information and opinions within your blog.
Ad your blog to facebook and your tweets to get more linking.
Blogs like anything else require work. When you do the right work they work.
Take the time to use local content, photos and linking within your blog. Back linkin
g can help you to become viral, a somebody on the Internet. Post listings with links to your website. If you have a broker site and web pages within your broker website and no personal website make sure you link your article to your pages that pertain to you and the article.
Use photos, be sure to label them with your linking information.
These are only a few of the option to get yourself noticed but the more you employ the faster your comments will increase and your blog become noticed.
I created a photo that shows me reaching to shake your hand. I have had hundreds of comments on this.
I use my blog within my presentation materials to buyers and sellers. I give them links to blogs I have written that cover buyer or selling. I use my blog and information during my presentation and use my laptop to Google my name. Try it Google "Gary L White" and see if I show up in the top spot!
You can also back link in so many other ways. Work your tools and get noticed!
