A very interesting report came out in the last few days courtesy of Zillow and I'd like to share someinteresting points from Amy Bohutinsky, VP of Communications at Zillow, blog. The results were released from the 4th Quarter Homeowner Confidence Survey and the results are fascinating and encouraging.
As Amy mentions, homeowners finally "get it" that declining home values have affected them.
The reality, according to Zillow, is that over three quarters (76%) of US homes lost value over the lastyear. The misperception gap, meaning the difference from what home owners actually believe to what is actually a reality is narrowing though! The misperception index is now 10, down from 16 in the 3rd Quarter of 2008.
And for the best part....when asked about the future value of their homes, homeowners are very optimistic (or delusional...only time will tell). I'm a home owner too so I choose optimism!!
It is uncertain where this optimism is coming from, it sure isn't from the media. Somehow, home owners are feeling better about the future and fate of our housing market....now if all of these glass half full home owners would talk to as many potential home buyers as possible we could really be in for a 2009 that no one was fully expecting....just what would the media talk about then? Lets prove these findings right!

If you are looking for a safe, clean, and fun vacation for your pets you should investigate 2 Cann Dog Boarding, proprietors Evert & LuAnn Cann. The love of animals is evident in the well thought out planning and developing of the resort like home away from home for man's best friend that LuAnn & Evert have built.
'Queen' as our dog Maggie is affectionately called by LuAnn definitely has been treated like a queen by her family of royals here at home as well as away. I must say she gets the royal treatment when she frequents their spa like establishment. From time of arrival to time of departure her stay is one of socializing, exercising (hiking and swimming) and a day of beauty shampoo, shave, and a manicure. Not to mention she has her own private suite for her over night stays.
If you want to relax and rest assured when you vacation and must leave your pets, definitely check into 2 Cann Kennel's
for their vacation stay.

The fourth of July is the most famous night for fireworks, yet on beautiful Wixom Lake, they're not just for Independence Day! There are several displays put on by home owners that either live on the lake or came up to their cottage to stay and play for awhile. Fire works can be seen all year round, but not every weekend. News Years is always a great time for a bang!
Being a realtor in the Wixom Lake area has been a challenging and rewarding experience. Working hard comes natural to me. My dad is a work-a-holic as well as a walking phone book, both traits apparently have been inherited from him! Nothing wrong with strong work ethics. Life is all about balance.
I'll be enjoying fireworks throughout the year. Hope you will too.
At least one pic loaded, I'll add more later - I added pictures to the mud bog blog!

February 24 is Paczki day at the Blue Ribbon Bakery in downtown Gladwin. Make sure you put in your order ahead of time to insure you and your family will enjoy your favorite Paczki flavor and not be disappointed when the big day arrives. Phone in your orders to 989-426-1613.
You'll find Paczki's throughout stores and bakeries in Gladwin, but in this person's opinion Blue Ribbon is hands down one of the freshest and best in the area.
In a previous post an announcement was made of their move into town in The Blue Ribbon Bakery Has a New Address. So order your favorite Paczki's or just stop in for lunch and allow yourself a fabulous mouth watering treat. You can tell Beth Heintz and the girls Sue said hello and enjoy Paczki Day with many of our sweet tooth friends in Gladwin.
