I have my most important appointment this week... Grandparents Day.
I received an invitation from one of my granddaughters that May 20th from 9-11 is Grandparents Day at
her school.
She sent a formal invitation in her own hand writing, asking if grandma and I could come.
She is 6 years old and her school is holding Grandparent's Day. We can see her classroom, participate in activities, tour her school, and meet her teacher and friends.
Afterwards, have lunch with her and the rest of the family. This will be the joy of my week and my most memorable appointment of the week.
Not only will it make her day to her grandparents show up....it change her whole day where she feels loved and a bit more special. A six year old can never get enough of being special!
So many of the children will not have anyone show up. Ths is because of distance, conflicting work schedules or perhaps they are no long with us. Regardless of the reason we plan on spreading a little joy to all her classmates with some cupcakes.
I am sure the teacher will appreciate the kids being all sugared up and having us go home! :-)

Homeowners have to have a little help every now and again. Things go wrong but knowing
what to do when is another great feature about the Internet.
How long will your appliances last? Can you attempt repairs or is it time to call the repairman?
All home owners know the useful life of appliances or more specifically how long they will work before needing to be replaced.
Some specific appliances last longer than others but they cost more. Then again some appliances no matter the brand or how much you pay die a natural death about the same time.
Here is a website that is really a great site that offers handy information. It even offers "How to Buy" segments.
So if you want to know how long your freezer will work, refrigerator, washer, dryer or if a top load versus a front load washer will last longer check out the site.
You may be surprised.
Here is the link see what you think.
