One thing that seems to stay constant in my real estate life is an appreciation of architecture, form, light and color. Some pretty typical-looking homes just seem to catch my eye. I guess the same thing goes for cars, people, animals, and yes – even barns.

I was driving to a new property assignment yesterday morning. There was a moderate fog at my first stop, and as I neared my second destination, the sun was poking through and burning the fog off. I’ve passed this particular barn many times over the years, but coming out of a foggy patch into the sun and seeing this dilapidated old barn in that exact light made it seem as though I were seeing it for the first time.

Of course I pulled over and grabbed my always available camera to snap a few shots. This one was at f5.6, 1/1000 sec exposure and ISO 800. It’s definitely the one I like the best.

Pardee Lake lakefront homes in Livingston County Michigan.

Pardee Lake properties are mostly year round residents. There are only 34 homes on the lake. Though there is some vacant lakefront property around the lake.(not currently for sale 2011). There are only a few weekend cottages. So most of them have been updated. There are a few old cottages but many of the homes were built in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's. Some are well built newer Livingston County Lakefront homes. There is a 4000 square foot split level lakefront home on the lake and there are some smaller 1400 square foot ranches. The colonials are as small as 1600 square foot.

Most of the Pardee Lake waterfront homes are on fairly flat ground. So there are no stairs down to the lake.

If you are looking for a lake that is reasonably close to the freeway and yet very rural then Pardee Lake real estate in Genoa Township should be on your list.

Pardee Lake isn't a large all sports lake in fact it is only 81 acres. The deepest point in the lake is 19 feet. There are only 34 homes/properties on Pardee Lake.

Most of Pardee Lake homes are year round residents. I would call Lake traffic and noise minimal. In my observation much of the lake is natural. In fact some areas are covered with lily pads. There is one bay that is just covered with them. One of the neighbors said the fishing was excellent.

There is quite a bit of natural undeveloped woodland frontage on Pardee Lake. The lake is only about a 5 mile drive to I-96.

There are currently two homes for sale on Pardee Lake Genoa Township. One is a very rustic looking cabin that is about 1500 square foot and the other is about 4000 square feet.
