This Saturday, January 23, 2010 the Chalet in the Sugar Springs Campground will be the headquarters for a Winter Fun Fest! The Winter Fun Fest in Sugar Springs is from 2pm-5pm. There will be ice skating, snowman making and sledding. Of course the Chalet has a warming room and a fireplace and you can grab some hot chocolate and cookies before heading back outside to enjoy the Winter Fun Fest!

This sounds like fun for kids of all ages and at no cost to your family (if you are with a member of the Sugar Springs POA) then it can't be beat!

Family Fun Snowman Making Contest in Gladwin, Michigan.

Riverwalk Place in downtown Gladwin, Michigan will be holding a family fun snowman making contest this Saturday, January 16, 2010. The snowman making contest will be held from 10am - 3pm with judging to be at 3pm.

The prizes are Riverwalk gift cards!! First place in the snowman making contest will receive a $50 Riverwalk Place gift card. 2nd place to get $25 and 3rd place to receive $15.

Also on Saturday, there will be hay rides and sleigh rides departing from the Gladwin, Michigan Historical Society and Riverwalk Place. The rides will cost $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. These rides are presented by the Carriage Festival Commitee of the Gladwin Historical Society.
