The picture shows the welcome sign as you enter Blue Grass Farms from 5 Mile Rd. Blue Grass Farms is located west of Newburgh just north of 5 Mile Rd. There is approximately 214 homes that were built in the 1960's and 1970's. The school district for the area is Livonia Public Schools with the high school of Livonia Stevenson. I spent some time driving the area today just to get a really good feel for it so I could pass it along to you. What I noticed was well taken care of homes, lots of people outside, two really nice parks, some wooded walking trails and even a few tennis courts. I took a few pictures of Blue Grass Farms that I would love to share with you. In the first one you will notice this would not be the area to cut through to get to 6 Mile Rd. There are multiple ways in and out of the area but it is still relatively quiet and not a place you can cut through to get to other major roads. There are two nice parks right in Blue Grass Farms sub. The first I came to was Bluegrass Park and Nature Preserve. At this park I noticed a few tennis courts and some wooded walking trails. The picture with the playground equipment was at a park called Greenwood Park which is still located right in the immediate area. If shopping is what you crave you are in luck! Laurel Park Place Mall is only a 5 minute drive away. Laurel Park offers good shopping, food court and movie theaters. In the following picture we have the Livonia Recreation Center. The Livonia Rec offers two swimming pools, hot tub, sauna, exercise equipment, two basketball courts, children's play tree fort and so much more. The Livonia Rec is only a short drive away and offers excellent rates to Livonia residents. The last picture is of the Livonia Public Library.
