Current Absorption Rate for Rockford Michigan is 7.5 months
on average, which means if no new listings come on the market,
it will take 7.5 months to sell current inventory. This is a
50%. decrease from last month, so inventory is selling.
The under $200K market is moving faster than the over $200K.
Homes less than $200,000 since May 1, 2009 sold prices appear
to be still declining slightly, even though 126 homes sold in
Rockford Public School District last month. Foreclosure & bank
owned homes could be tipping the figures downward.
The over $200K market has taken a 15% decrease in average
sold price from last month.

Inventories have increased with the spring market and sales are
starting to take off in Rockford over the last 2 months. The absorption
rate is 7.5 months which is a normal market range for our area.
It appears that smaller homes are selling faster because the price
per sq ft has gone up while the average sale price has declined by
15% from last months report. It is important that you have your
home in great condition and priced correctly. Over-priced homes
will not sell in this buyer's market.

Rockford Michigan will be celebrating the 4th of July by having
a Children's Bike Parade, outdoor concert and a fireworks display.
Like most small towns across America, this is the time to show your
patriotism by decorating your bike, riding in the parade so your
proud parents can take pictures. In Rockford, you get to
relax by the Rogue River for an outdoor concert and a great
fireworks display.

July 4th Schedule of Events:
Children's Bike Parade 1:30 pm registration, 2:00 pm parade begins - Downtown Rockford (Squires St parking lot)
Garden Park Concert - 7:30 pm - 10:00pm The Oxymorons Band
Fireworks Display - Over the City at dusk ( approx 10:15 pm)

Starting June 9th, you can relax by the river with various Blues Bands in
Rockford, Michigan this summer. Bring a blanket and enjoy!
The Rockford Area Arts Commission and the City of Rockford are presenting
the Huntington Rogue River Blues Series for 2009, sponsored by Huntington
Bank. This popular series brings gret local live music to Garden Club Park
downtown Rockford by the river most Tuesday evenings this summer.

The Place: Garden Club Park Stage located along the White Pine Trail near the Dam.
The Time: 7:00-9:00 pm

9 mo. decrease from last month, inventory is still high.
If you aren't serious about selling your Rockford home, don't
put it on the market. If you have to sell, it must be priced correctly
and be in excellent condition with the huge inventory available,
buyers can be very picky.
The under $200K market is moving faster than the over $200K.

slight increase since last month. If you don't need to sell
your Rockford home, don't put it on the market. If you have
