It's that time of year again!

Michigans big in state college football rivalry game is here. The Michigan / Michigan State game will be played in East Lansing this year.

Kick off is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and it is televised on The Big Ten Network.

• Michigan is off to a good start with a 4-0 record and ranked 22nd.
• State is coming off of a 3 game losing streak with a 1-3 record.
• The Spartans won last years matchup and will be looking to make it 2 years in a row.
• The Wolverines have won 6 of the last 7 meetings.
• This will be the 102nd match up between the 2 teams.

No matter who you're rooting for, this should be a great game, it is a huge tradition here among many. Whether you're tailgating and have tickets to the big game or watching it at home, enjoy the game and have fun!

In order to claim the first time buyer tax credit, you must close on your home by November 30th, 2009. That means as of today, there is just 61 days left. If you were hoping to take advantage of this tax credit & I'm not trying to panic you, but if you do not have a home under contract right now, you realistically only have 2 - 3 weeks to find a home when you consider it takes 30 to 45 days to close from contract. Also, Thanksgiving will come into play, where many title company's and lenders will be closed for possibly 2 days.

Do you qualify to receive this credit?

• You must be a first time home buyer. First time buyer defined as not having owned a principal residence in the past 3 years
• Home purchased must be used as your principal residence
• Home must be purchased between Jan. 1, 2009 & Nov. 30, 2009
• Max. income of $75,000 for single person & $150,000 for married couples
• Must own home for 3 years after purchasing

What's the difference between last years first time buyers tax credit and this years? The 2009 tax credit has been raised by $500. from $7,500 to $8,000 and most importantly, the 2009 tax credit does not have to be paid back, as long as you own the home for 3 year after purchasing.

Lakeview High Schools football team is off to a great start this season. With a new coaching staff, the Huskies are off to a 3 - 0 start for the season.

The Huskies next game is away, Friday 9/18 at Madison Heights Madison who also has a 3-0 record. Should be a great game in a match up of 2 unbeaten teams.

This game is also up for GAME of the Week on FOX 2. As of this morning the Lakeview / Madison game is in the lead for game of the week with aprox. 80% of the votes.

I recently went to the 2009 Harper Avenue Cruise.

It is one of the last of the season in our area, and this year they extended it another half mile which meant it went past my house. Cruises are huge around here ( the Woodward cruise attracts thousands and thousands of people and actually lasts almost a week.).
