About McGregor's Big Sandy Lake

One of the longest Par 4's but also the most open hole on the course with a wide fairway only guarded at the dogleg left by a large fairway bunker. The hole provides a good opportunity for a long drive, although often playing into the southwesterly wind.

Two sand bunkers guard this green, which has a two level rear portion.

This Part of Settlers Ridge is known as The Fairways lots in this area have been going fast and at this time we some ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 with only a few left. This nice looking, downhill Par 3 (actually it is downright scary from the back tee!), plays over a wetland to quite a receptive large, yet rolling green. The entire hole is set in the woods.

A "low" on the green's front right will provide some exciting putts.

I am a Real Estate Broker in Northern Minnesota and an fortunate enough to live on one of its lakes called Big Sandy Lake. For many years I have everywhere I have gone have always carried a camera and taken Sunsets from all over the country.

Living on the lake and being a Realtor/Broker I am taking pictures of the lake and my listings often so I have come up with some pretty cool Sunsets through out the years and I wanted to share some of them with you all.

This one was taken from Lake Minnewawa a few blocks away from Big Sandy Lake I just had to include this one too. I have many more I will be sharing with you all.

I am a Real Estate Broker in Northern Minnesota just a little over 2 hours north from Minneapolis Minnesota driving time just so you know were I am at. I started coming up north to this area when I was a little guy and little did I know that I would end up living up here in this Awesome area of northern Minnesota.

I love to Golf and Fish and Hunt and Boat and walk in the woods you get my drift I am an outdoors enthusiast to say the least. We have a Golf Course just down the road from were we live that is accessible from the lake or by vehicle. I would like to tell you all about this Awesome new Course we have in McGregor Minnesota.

This is one of the Fairways of Minnesota National Golf Course and a Ariel view too of the area as you can see it is a really nice place to have right in my back yard well it is a few miles away....... But when you live up north everything seems to be your back yard!

The Course was designed by renown Architect Joel Goldstrand on this 600acres of land. The Course was developed within dense covering of towering pines, hardwoods, abundance wetlands and wildlife. Minnesota National Golf Course offers an 18 hole Championship Course and a 9 hole Par 33 Course.

The Championship Course plays to a length of 7,200 yards and features bent-grass fairways, Ohio white sand bunkers and five sets of tees that give dramatically different challenges on many holes.

The 9 hole Par 33 Course plays to a length of 2,500 yards and is perfect for the beginners and is a less challenging round of Golf.

I look forward to getting out this year to Golf so if you have not been to this Awesome area the Golf Course Minnesota National and a Local Resort Big Sandy Lodge and Resort have combined there resources and put togeather a package. Big Sandy Lake located in McGregor, Minnesota. Is located just 2 hours north of MPLS. Minnesota straight up Highway 65 out of Anoka County. I started coming up to this area when I was only 6 years old and would go to Kare Phree Pines Resort on Big Sandy Lake it was located in Davis Bay. When I was 6 I did not know that!

My late uncle Dick Borden had a place on Davis Bay and we would all come up North to see him and stay at this Resort just down from him. The Resort we stayed at had 16 Cabins Lake side and some were Big and most others were modest Cabins for the average size. All I knew was that when we got up north it was go time. You see what I did not tell you was I had a bunch of cousins and we were mostly all boys and were only a few years apart in age. Frogging,Fishing,Swimming and just sitting around the campfire laughing and telling scary stories.

Today that old Resort is now called Big Sandy Lodge and Resort. The Cabins are all gone sold for a dollar each to locals around the area who have put them to good use on there land now. I tell you all this because I now live on Big Sandy Lake and Sell Real Estate in the area to new families who are coming up here like I used to and want to buy a place for their family now.

This area is truly Awesome and this is why I love my neighborhood.
