The warming of the earth is something that has happened over the eons. We are possibly in one of those Eon times again.

Last year...It was cold and a lot of snow. This year it has been warm with very very little of the white stuff.

Last year...this cartoon was right on the money...

This year...we would have to say Mr. Gore's idea's would be right on.

Which ever way you want to look at it...This year is a bit unusual for Minnesota!

I am not a smart person when it comes to the computer. But, the neighbor kid showed me how Twins are made.

Now if it were really all that easy. I would become a computer wizard also!

I am also glad that this isn't the way it is done. The old fashion way was a lot more fun.

I was approached by a friend for help and advice. It seams that someone he knew had an accident was was off work. Money was very tight as he had no disability insurance.

I also seams that a circle of friends that wanted to help didn't have any extra cash either.

After a brief brain storming session I came up with a great idea.

Recycling.

This is a rural community and everyone seams to have a pile of old scrap metal. With the price around $180 a ton, it sounded like a great idea. The word was put out and over the next few days the metal flowed in.

I volunteered to haul a load to the scrap yard. My little trailer hauled just over 2 ton of metal. We also collected copper and some aluminum.

The goal was to make the $900 house payment. We did that and had enough for a couple of tanks of gas to boot.

What looked to be a big endeavor, was made easy by asking other to help.

Remember, A helping hand is one of the greatest gifts you can give.

I think of all the pills we take and some times it seams that we are given the some stuff for all of our ails...

An 80 year old lady goes into the Dr.s office..."I wold like some Birth Control pills" she said.

Taken aback, the Dr. asked, "Why."

"Because they help me sleep" she said.

Thinking a bit more the Dr. said..."How do they help you sleep better?"

"Because, I put them in my Grand Daughter's orange juice and I sleep better."

A simple question can many times be taken in a very wrong way....EXAMPLE

A couple from out west were driving through Wisconsin and came to the town of, Oconomowoc.

They were discussing how to pronounce it when they stop at a fast food place. The blonde behind the counter asked for their order...

"The husband says..."Before we order...where are we and would you pronounce it slowly."

"Sure thing", she responded..."You are at Brrrr Grrrr King!"
