SILVER DOLLAR CITY's WILDERNESS CHURCH
It was such a beautiful day in the Ozarks, 50 degrees in late December. Silver Dollar City was calling out our names. Rick and I have enjoyed attending the Wilderness Church service on Sunday mornings whenever we go to Silver Dollar City. As I have shared before I have very deep roots at Silver Dollar City.
The Wilderness Church was moved to Silver Dollar City 51 years ago from a location only a few miles away. When they purchased the church it was already 160 years old. Growing up, my parents would take us to service before my Dad went to work each Sunday. I would look out the same window and read the passage above. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help! I always feel at peace whenever I walked through the doors at the Wilderness Church.
If you are interested in Getting Married in this Very Special Place, they have some great packages available. My baby sister had a gorgeous wedding there 25 years ago there. Traditional and Timeless! And if you want to renew your wedding vows you can make a memory worth repeating!

According to Septemeber's local information sources, Stone County MO single family homes sales last month total was down 3 to 29 single family - built on site - homes with the highest priced one selling for $533,000 and the lowest priced one selling for only $27,000. That is not good news for home sellers in the Table Rock Lake area this year as the medium price of homes sold was unchanged too.
This is an increased influence from short-sale and foreclosure home sales in the Stone County & Table Rock Lake Area Singe Family Home Market with over 25% of the market being distress sales.
There was only 1 condo that reported being closed through escrows last month which is 4 less than the previous month. It sold as a 2 bed/2bath for $79,000. This is not good news for sellers of condos in the current real estate market as it was a foreclosure sale.
Market reports for land, farm and commercial sales and much more is available by request, call me direct @ (417)350-9743. Real estate is always local and we have plenty of property available at really good prices right now. Naturally, whether you should buy or sell depends upon your particular circumstances more than any other factor. If you would like to go over your situation and get an honest evaluation of whether you are in the right "timing" or not, I will be glad to help. You can also see what is available in the market today: Search Listings Here for free. Or I can send them directly to you - just let me know what you want to see, emailto: steve@caroljones.com

We discovered a treasure....
The StoneBridge Village ladies luncheon group decided to explore Harrison, Arkansas. Our Activities Director at StoneBridge, Denise Needham is from Harrison, AR and has been raving about this wonderful Italian restaurant with their fresh trout. We drove the scenic 35 miles with anticipation and we discovered that she's absolutely right!
The DeVito's Restaurant is family owned and operated by brothers Steve, Chris and Joe DeVito. (Pictured here is Joe and the ladies) DeVito's has a selection of food not normally found in local restaurants and the staff was very attentive. We loved it! Cajun Charbroiled Trout, Trout Fingers, Trout Almandine, Chicken Parmesan, Ravioli, Shrimp Alfredo, Spaghetti with Meatballs, Sirloin, Ribeye Steak etc. Something delicious for everyone.
We discovered that DeVito's has great food and good times.
Whether it's fine Italian cuisine or fishing for trout, it's all at DeVito's.
Open Mon. thru Sat. 5:00 PM til 9:00 PM
Sunday 11:30 til 2:00 PM - (Closed Monday)
870-741-8832
After lunch we toured the Bear Creek S
prings Trout Farm!
"Where the fish always bite". No license - no limit. Bring your own tackle or use theirs (free). Bait is furnished and you pay for what you catch. Dressed and ice packed (free). They will clean and prepare your fish to eat at the restaurant also.
Of course "the girls love to shop" so we also visited the Bear Creek Gift Co, 3859 Naples, Harrison, AR
Phone: 870-741-0831
After satisfying our palates and remininiscing over the day, we headed back to StoneBridge Village. Just off a country road that lolls through a northern Arkansas valley, we discovered the turnoff going to the Ozark Medieval Fortress in Lead Hill, Arkansas and decided we should make that a future adventure.
