The Easter Bunny visits Greystone Subdivision in Chesterfield, MO. Last weekend, the Easter Bunny made a visit to the Greystone subdivision. With promises of candy, pictures and fun, the Bunny really delivered.

Balloons showed families the way as they arrived at the residence in Greystone for the fun. While there, families visited with the Easter Bunny and had their pictures taken. Some pictures were impromptu and others were taken sitting with the Bunny or on the Bunny's lap. Some children were anxious to have their pictures taken while some of the younger children weren't quite sure.

Other activities included a sidewalk chalk art, coloring contest, a guess the number of candy pieces contest and lots of bubble blowing. Beautiful coloring contest entries were created. There were many interesting guesses about the number of candy pieces. The Easter Bunny guessed 9000 while some of the younger guests guessed 10. The actual number was somewhere in between!! Bubbles were given out but many bubbles were blown on site. In case the guests were hungry, Easter cookies and juice boxes were available. And of course, Easter eggs full of candy. An Easter egg hunt was held. The younger kids got a head start on the older kids to give them a chance to find some of the hundreds of eggs that were hidden. Everyone was very successful finding many eggs. Eggs were hidden in the front yard as well as on the deck as the backyard was too wet to allow an egg hunt. Filled candy eggs were also available for all of the children to enjoy or to take home for later enjoyment.

The ages of the children who attended the event ranged from a few years to many. Visiting with the Easter Bunny was an event that wass fun for children of all ages. Photos of the event are below.

Home values in the subdivision vary from $600,000 to a current home listed at $1,875,000. The homes were built by two of St. Louis' premier builders - Hayden Homes and Schierholz Homes. In fact, Greystone received the Bravo Award in 2006.
The Home Builders Association of Greater St. Louis developed the BRAVO Awards in 1995/96 to honor HBA builders that have created beautiful neighborhoods and to show what happens when these communities "grow up." Eligible communities have been complete for 6-10 years and are judged based on the style and condition of the community, the streetscape, the desirability of the community as a place to live, the resale value of homes in the community and the condition and upkeep of neighborhood facilities, if any. In the nine years this award program has been in existence, Hayden Homes has garnered eight of these highly coveted awards, proof that their communities and homes retain their beauty and value many years after they are sold and built.

Greystone homes are distinctive in that they are built on ½ acre or larger lots and have very dramatic elevations and floorplans. Brick and stone elevations are often featured on Schierholz-built homes. Other elevations feature dramatic columns and other custom features. The subdivision is hilly with some homes having sweeping views of the valley of homes below. The subdivision does not offer a community pool so many of the homes have private pools that are surrounded by custom decks or patios, some with firepits or outdoor kitchens.
