Best Wedding entrance by a Willis child in the month of August. The award goes to SARAH!
When one has four children she learns to do qualifying statements!
Youngest daughter, Sarah, exchanged vows with her new hubby, our new son-in-law, Nick on August 14th. (It never matters how 'old' they get she is still our youngest!)
I thought my readers might enjoy seeing a bit of the 'opening ceremony'.
Yes, I made the flowers.
No, this was not the rehearsal (they didn't do one). I hope all our your weddings are as fun.
Best wishes to the new couple.
His mom and I are still fighting over who got the better end of the deal. I think we won by adding Nick, she thinks they did by getting Sarah. For now we will just be happy for the union and share the both of them.

While Lane and Karlee enjoy "playing" at the park, they are serious about their grandma's business.
Monett City Park is a favorite place to gather with friends and family. Even during our 'off' time we are available for our clients. I was on the phone with a buyer when I over heard the above converation and had to get a picture.
I can't wait till the kiddos get their liscense and join my business!

FLAMENCO GUITAR: "A miracle of natural art."
A lone guitarist sits on the stage. Equipped with only six silent strings and
his love and respect for an ancient folklore, he weaves a musical tapestry
recognized the world over as Flamenco - the heartbeat of Spain.
Flamenco is the traditional folk art of Southern Spain, where
singing, dancing and guitar playing are a way of life.
It is a distillation of centuries of cultural influences in Spain,
from the religious chants of the Moslems and Jews to the songs and
dance rhythms of the Spanish Gypsies whose ancestral home was Northern India.
The blending of Oriental and Western styles gives Flamenco music
an incredible range of expression.
Flamenco guitar solos are of comparatively recent origin.
By the early 1900's the Gypsies had fashioned an unwritten guitar music,
which according to the great Spanish composer
Manuel De Falla, is "One of the miracles of natural art."
In this concert art form, the guitarist develops variations on themes
as well as spontaneous improvisations within the strict traditional patterns
of the Flamenco songs and dances.
The solo artist combines classical guitar techniques with intricate Flamenco rolls,
finger percussion, and syncopated strumming.
These distinctive techniques serve to illuminate the authentic mood
and emotions of each palo or song form.
Mr. Radford follows the musical wisdom of the Spanish Gypsies
who taught him, "One must have the music in his heart
before he can play it on the strings."
The great Mario Escudero said, "Flamenco is an unlimited art
whose boundaries can be constantly extended if proper care is taken
to preserve the purity of the styles and rhythms.
Flamenco is not a mystery; it is an art. Like all arts, there are no mysteries
which study and dedication will not reveal to those who love it."
When performed by a master guitarist, this elegant and noble art
has a compelling impact. It is accepted in concert halls around the world
because, like all great art forms, Flamenco evokes those human emotions,
from pathos to joy, shared by all mankind.
Please forward this information
to any of your friends you think
might enjoy this day.

We have a very exciting couple of days in our family. Favorite Oldest Son and his wife, delivered a beautiful baby girl early, early Thursday morning. (6-3-10)
Breely Grace Willis arrived at 12:55 AM (what's up with that?) and weighed in at 8lbs. She measured 21 1/4".
Normally when I get to do a good 'Out and About' I give kuddos to all the parties involved. Since I have not had a chance to check with the Doc to see if she wants her name 'out there' I will just say- great job!
Kelly's good friend Karen was amazing with her coaching skills (this is her second assist with a Willis baby). I was blessed to get to stay and 'be there' but not allowed to 'touch' anything. The daddy got to cut the cord. (is that practicing without a license?)
Baby is doing great and hopes to come home today. As with any big event there was drama mixed with the blessings. We are going to count our blessings. The drama will play its self out and be a teaching situation for the next time.
This post may have a part II- cheryl(for now I am still counting)willis
