Come watch 300 competitors race in this triathlon on August 17, 2008 at the Alligator's Creek Aquatic Center from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This race consists of a 300-yard serpentine swim at Alligator's Creek, an 18-mile bike course, and a 5k run through O'Fallon, Missouri.

This week in O Fallon Mo and St. Charles County……

If you are looking for things to do this coming week here are just a few items that will fit the bill.

If you are a young lady between 6 and 18 years old then this could be for you. O Fallon is holding their FIRST “Miss O’Fallon Pageant”. It will be hosted by the Jaycees and it will be held at O’Fallon’s city hall in the auditorium on Saturday August 16^th at. There will be three categories: Princess (ages 6 – 11) Junior Miss (12 – 14) and Queen (ages 15 – 18). This sounds like a really fun event.

Now thru August 31^st: Mount Pleasant Winery Live Music Lineup on the Patio! Aug. 9^th Paint the Earth from 1pm – 5pm; Aug. 16^th Jake’s Leg from 1pm – 5pm; Aug. 23^rd Serapis from 1pm – 5pm; Aug. 30^th Soulard Blues Band from 1pm – 5pm; Aug. 31^st The Melroys from 1pm to 5pm. August 10^th 2pm – 5pm; the 2^nd Annual Hummingbird Festival will be held at the Pere Marquette Lodge & Conference Center.

August 16^th; 3^rd annual “Support Our Soldiers” 125 mile Poker Run Motorcycle Ride. For more information go to www.2250gm.com. The proceeds will benefit the USO, Task Force USA, Care Packages by Dru and Operation Undergarments.

Festivals of the Little Hills will be held on Aug. 15^th – 17^th A great time will be had in St. Charles at Frontier Park and Main Street. The times for the event will be Friday Aug. 15^th form 4pm – 10pm; Saturday Aug. 16^th from 9:30am – 10pm; and on Sunday Aug. 17^th from 9:30am – 5pm. This is a GREAT time filled with fun, food, crafts, entertainment, music, kids corner, antiques and FUN!

There are a lot of things happening all around O Fallon and St. Charles County so come on out and have a GREAT week!

O Fallon, MO Is Holding It's 28^th Annual Heritage & Freedom Fest

On July 3^rd and 4^th at Ozzie Smith Sports Complex. There will be a full line up of entertainment during the two days of festivities. This year's event will feature national headline music, family entertainment, carnival rides and a midway, free kids' activities, fireworks and much more.

On Thursday July 3^rd country band Emerson Drive will highlight the first night of celebration when they take the stage at 9:00pm. Remember, Emerson Drive was recently nominated for American Country Music's Top Vocal Group award? They will be bringing their high-energy show to the center stage on the opening night. Did I mention that up and coming Nashville country musician, Jeff Allen will open for Emerson Drive at 7:00pm.

Once the music is over stay around the midway and watch a Spectacular fireworks display at 10:15pm.

Check out this line up on Friday July 4^th on the main stage see:

12:30 - 1:30 then 2:00 - 3:00 Local rockers Joe Dirt will take the main stage
4:00 - 5:15 International recording artists Big Head Todd & the Monsters doing their brand of laid-back blues based rock
6:15 - 7:30 Hard rockers Candlebox will spice up things
8:30 - 9:45 Alternative rock group Gin Blossoms will close out the night's music with their brand of pop alternative rock.

Then the festival will conclude with a world-class fireworks display at 9:45pm.

There will be a lot of things for the family in addition to the music. Both days of the festival offer a variety of family friendly activities, including carnival rides, a kids' area and entertainers. The festival's second stage will feature Mark Preston's comedy Safari, which includes exotic birds, audience participation and may even give children in the audience a chance to star in the show.
