As the day draws ever closer to the end of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, we know it better as the First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit, will we REALTORS® be getting more phone calls about buying a home? Sitting in the office yesterday morning the phone rings and on the other end of the line was a buyer wanting to see a home. It was not out of an absolute need, NO; it was out of a desire not to miss out on the $8,000 tax credit. So I will be showing this pre-appr0ved couple homes this evening. What about you?

There is one thing that we know for certain and that is this program is scheduled to end at the stroke of midnight on November 30, 2009. And if you are going to purchase a home and take advantage of this tax credit you need to begin to take action, just like the young couple above, and have a contract on your new home and scheduled to close on or before November 30, 2009.

Where: Stone Hill Winery in Hermann, MO

Now this sounds like a GREAT time. Come out and stomp grapes to the folk sounds of Boney Goat Band or sit on the hill and cheer stompers. The stompers will be judged on the amount of juice produce and their style. Cash prizes will be awarded. With the proceeds going to Sheltered Workshop.
