Mississippi Real Estate Auction well attended

Last Thursday may the 12th was a eventful day in Southern Mississippi, with a bit of over cast sky, just enough to allow us to get out of the 90 degree heat, there was a real Estate Auction of 14.38 acres in Petal, Mississippi. Auction site cleared and the blue and white tent stood out as by passers form the highway honked their horns a s the Auctioneer cried bids selling dirt by the square foot. There were four radio stations doing live broadcasts while interviewing attendees that represented everyone for buyers to local charities and the sellers of the Real Estate.

The Auctioneer ask for bids by the square foot with lots of commercial ranging anywhere from 11,900 sg ft to over 44,000 square foot. Tracts were offered high bidders choice which means that the high bidder can choose any tract available or any combination there of. There ended up being three bidders that won the bidding war and the seller accepted contracts without hesitation.

With 43 in attendance and 19 registered the Auction was a success, hopefully I will have photos and video very soon.

Auction marketing produced a well qualified group of bidders with the ability to close in cash, sellers were very happy with the turn out as well as the final price.

All sellers always want more , however we try to set realistic expectations in an Auction Scenario, and most times the result is market price for the current conditions...
