The Rhodes Family Christmas Portrait... A shot most Photographers will try to avoid

Of course the Rhodes family had lots of what most people would call a great picture to choose from after the Christmas shoot. You know the ones where everyone is looking right at the camera, and smiling ever so pretty.

I love the pouty expression of the 2 year olds Bailey Rhodes face.

And then theres the 3 year old Autumn Rhodes in her pretty Christmas dress with her fingers up her nose!

Gotta love it

Have to wondering if the Rhodes parents had a clue as to what was going on in front of them, while the photographer was taking their portrait..

I think the Rhodes family should use this as a Christmas Card. It would bless everyone with a laugh or at least smile.

This holiday season make it a point to give instead of receive

The true meaning of Christmas is still prevalent in many of our lives. Although we still have a tendency to get caught up in the commercialzed end of the holidays. Its not unheard of for parents and grandparents to spend 100's or thousands of dollars on toys and games for their families. I also have been guilty of this, when my children were growing up and now I see my children doing the same thing for my grandchildren.

It's not hard in today tough times to see people struggling financially and on the other hand see them spending money they shouldn't on gifts, that are frivolous.

What we should do during the season of giving, is to give to the less fortunate. So this year I have decided to give more to a family who needs the luxury of a safe environment.

There is a daughter and mother in our community who live in a home that should be condemned. There is water leaks and stains on the celiling, cracks in the window seals, holes in the front door, the plumbing leaks. And just to much to mention. These ladies have not asked for help and somehow manage to be ALWAYS in good spirits. The following links will allow you an insght into their lives. I hope and pray for God's blessings on these ladies.

Christmas in Moss Point Ms

This small town of Moss Point Ms is located north of Pascagoula, and south of Interstate 10. The community loves to get together during holidays. Christmas by the river is one of my favorite annual events.

Downtown Moss Point Ms., Christmas by the river will be a day of fun, food, music, parades,antique cars, free activities for the kids, and the grand firework show after the lighted boat parade..

The Christmas Parade will roll at 11:00 am in the morning. (I do not know the parade route at this time.) After the parade head over to the activities along the river walk. You will be able to purchase something to eat, or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the green. There will be lots of things for the kids to do, face painting, train rides, jumping, and always a hit is the the horse drawn carriage ride around old downtown Moss Point. What a a trip through our rich heritage.

Be sure and check out the Gumbo cook off at 1:00 pm (Go Team Jackie).. At dusk the Moss Point riverfront area is illuminated by the lighted boat parade. The boats are decorated for Christmas and many of the captain's mates are sporting Christmas attire.

Sadness and Life

Life is full of Sadness,I logged on to my Facebook account after returning home from a hospital visit with my precious dad. Immediately noticed a friends post about someone dying and what a sad day it is for her family. We all have felt the Sadness of life. If you haven't consider yourself blessed.

On Facebook, I've shared many happy times and sad times with my friends. What an appropriate time to say; thank you for your thoughts and prayers during the times of sadness in my life.

Lot of sadness and depression in my daily life right now, excuse me while I take this call//// I just turned down a BPO, I must be depressed because I could have used the money.

Back on serious note and the blog, please continue to pray for my parents. Thank you, and I promise to keep you posted and give more details when we know more. In the meantime I was wondering:
