Mysterious Twilight, Asheville-Style- A Rendition
______________________________________________________________________xo___

Slowly, slowly,
but surely,surely
year after year,
you see them there-
Asheville's trees,
those tall to tallest residents
getting bare,
one day at a time,
as the seasons arrive,
and those statuesque beauties display
all their shades
of being.
November now,
and scant weighs
the interlude of light,
so fast turns day to night.
The sky - the softest gray,
the trees-
sparingly clad,
are getting Naked!
You grin to see
the poplar, birch,
and hickory
raise boney limbs,
shed down to skeletons,
in perfect tune
with Asheville's mountain winds-
that letting go,
that bending without quetion
to Nature's whims.
