Candi Catoe: Real Estate Agent in Banner Elk, NC

I am excited to have just joined Active Rain and wanted to introduce myself. I am Candi Catoe and have resided in Banner Elk, NC for 15 years. Along with my real estate firm I own a small inn and restaurant, am married, and have two children ages 10 and 9. We are blessed to live in Banner Elk and NC Mountains. This is the perfect balance of resort town, scenic beauty, cool restaurants, and outdoor activities. We live in a safe environment with fabulous neighbors. I am a member of the High Country Association of Realtors, an associate member of the Asheville Association of Realtors, both local Chambers, the Tourism Development Authority and Restaurant Association.

I specifically enjoy the service aspect associated with real estate; preliminary searches, assistance with finding the perfect area, inspections, contracts etc. When not busy with work I enjoy hiking, horsebackriding, and schlepping my kids to soccer, gymnastics, tennis, etc.

I look forward to meeting new folks through Active Rain, if anyone ever needs anything in the High Country or Asheville area, do not hesitate to ask!

Your Expectations Will Be Exceeded At The Headwaters.

Susie Blackmon~Ocala~Horses~Western Wear~Horse Farms~Marketing.: Real Estate Agent in Ocala, FL

John Haynes, the Developer of The Headwaters at Banner Elk, took time out of his busy schedule to take Margie Casey and I on an afternoon tour of his exceptional development Saturday, which development, by the way, is very active (seriously), not only with new owners’ homes under construction, but with active, buying customers. Banner Elk is about 2 hours from Maggie Valley. Why (in one word) is The Headwaters at Banner Elk actually busy, even in this market? I came away knowing – VALUE. No kidding. Your expectations will actually be exceeded. Some of the present features are:

  • Lakes (2) and Parks
  • Views
  • Paved Roads
  • Staffed Gatehouse
  • Maintained Trails
  • Waterfalls
  • Lots 1 to 4 acres
  • Elevation 3100′ to 3900′
  • Clubhouse
  • Fiber Optics Based Internet and TV
  • 12 minutes to Dining, Shopping, etc.

Future features? Tennis Courts, Spa, Pool and (quite possibly) an Equestrian Center.

Please enjoy the slideshow of photos I took Saturday. The interior, deck and view photos were taken at The Headwaters Clubhouse, and most of the other photos were taken at one of the lakes. See a video about the property on The Headwaters website.

Best Italian Restaurant in NC Mountains!

Bob de Camara: Real Estate Agent in Boone, NC

I just discovered the best Italian restaurant in the high country of western North Carolina. If you're ever in Boone, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk you must stop in and see Elliott at Bella's Restaurant. Coming from Boone you take Hwy 105 south to Tynecastle and turn east on Hwy 184 like heading to Banner Elk and in about half a mile you turn right into the Food Lion parking lot where you'll see Bella's on the right. Run by a great Italian family they have the cuisine down pat. I recommend the lasagna. Great bar by the way too if you're looking for a friendly place to stop in a have a drink. Mangiare bene! Ciao Bella!
