BusyBee Farm is part of the Whitmire Century Family Farm in Transylvania County, which has been recognized by the NC Department of Agriculture as one of only two farms in Transylvania County that has been consistently owned and operated by the same family for over 100 years. So, they have a century of family farming under our belt - well, several belts!
Today BusyBee Farm an Appalachian-Grown Certified offering products for sale directly to individuals, retailers, and restaurants in Transylvania County and throughout western North Carolina. When you buy food or a farm product with the Appalachian Grown label you are getting a product that was grown or raised in our region by a local farmer. What does this mean to you and your health? It means that you are buying a product that is fresher, better tasting, and more nutritious. It means that you assisting in the environment, preserving the farming heritage of Appalachia, and protecting our mountain landscape.
Not only when you buy the products dealing from the Whitmire family and now Brittany and Andy, but you're dealing with folks that take pride, work hard, and their word is their bond. Not to mention I have eaten allot of their food and it's the best around by far! Their beef and poultry have not only the best flavor, but you know your eating healthy grown meats that Doctors and medical professionals are all reinforcing today as being the best for your health.
My son Julius Kaiser, an Executive Chef now at Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham Washingon, & Facebook Fan Page is so cautions about having the finest quality meat products, and this is why he insists in BusyBee food products. As an Executive Chef he goes a step further and he and BusyBee farm are both concerned, and understand it's critical that the products have the quality flavor in the beef, as well as the refreshing taste of all natural poultry. Julius having cooked and eaten his share of BusyBee beef and chicken highly recommends products from BusyBee Farm as I do.
