You will never have to pay to be listed as a top neighbor. Period. That important detail clarified, let's discuss how we arrive at two "top neighbors" for a given region:
Localism is a bustling collection of hyper-local communities, and the top neighbors should reflect those members who are most active. When ranking users in a given region, several factors are considered. To get your foot in the proverbial door, you need to have posted at least one "Localism" article or photo for the region.
The very best way to quickly rise to #1 is to post high-quality local content. Keeping a steady strem of incoming posts and photos will massively tilt the scales in your favor.
What doesn't count toward the top neighbor ranking? ActiveRain points and community sponsorships. The top neighbor spots will always go to the most active members in a region. We want to create a level playing field that encourages the growth of communities — talent and dedication are required to win the day.
Carolina Preserve at Amberly a Del Webb community turns 3 years old this summer. Like any active toddler Carolina Preserve remains one of Cary's most active communities. New home sales are brisk with numerous incentive being offered. Recently, they changed their pricing structure by scaling down their models and lowering base prices to make the homes more affordable in this current economy.
What's Carolina Preserve all about? It's an active 55+ adult community in south-western Cary. Their literature boasts that it's like" being on vacation everyday". Bradford Hall is a good place to start that vacation. It's a 34,000 square foot gathering center with state of the art fitness center, indoor pool, library with computers, meeting rooms, craft rooms, cooking classroom with a showcase mirror like on TV. Outside the fun continues with an outdoor pool that's a lazy river, tennis, bocce courts, chipping/putting green, walking trails, parks, sun deck and numerous social activities.
I was out at Carolina Preserve at Del Webb last week for a broker event and I thought I'd provide the Active 55+ Community with an update on what's going on at the Carolina Preserve in Cary, North Carolina. As I've explained in previous blogs, Carolina Preserve is in Phase II delivery for the neighborhood. Homes pre-sold in June 2007 delivered in March of 2008. Phase III deliveries for the Cardinal and Dogwood Collections are scheduled for March 2009. What a gorgeous entrance to the community!!
