When you set out to take a stroll on this Cary trail you'll be walking on one of the most forward thinking sustainable trails in the nation.

The Swift Creek Greenway is the nation's first greenway to be built COMPLETELY with recycled products. Can you say green?!? Cary NC sure does!!

The 1.03 mile trail is constructed of recycled asphalt, and even the storm water pipes are made from recycled plastic bags. The multi-purpose polyethylene plastic, (HDPE = High Density Polyethylene) is commonly found in items such as grocery bags, detergent bottles and milk jugs.

So now whenever you use these items, think about all the great new products that can be made from them when you finished... and PLEASE join us and choose to RECYCLE!
