The annual Paws4Ever Dog Walk was held this past weekend at Southern Village in Chapel Hill, NC. The event was well attended on a beautiful Saturday which brought out pooches, some in costume, and their people for live music, browsing the booths of pet centric vendors, a silent auction of some unique hand crafted dog houses donated by local builders and many other unique handcrafts.
A lively demonstration by the Paws4Ever Drill Team was followed by the dog agility course demonstration and a popular round of Musical Sit! Finally, the pet parade left the village green for a walk around Southern Village.
Thanks to all who attended! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
(A Big thank you also to C Tann-Starr and her "mad" music production and video editing skills for this wonderful clip of some of our events!)

Raleigh Relocation Information
There are a multitude of different permits and fees required to build any new home. Orange County and Chapel Hill have long had some of the highest fees in the Triangle.
And they're going up.
These fee increases were approved in December 2008, with new increases taking affect each January.

Before January 1, 2009, the Chapel Hill School District Impact Fees were $4407 per home. On January 1, 2009, these impact fees increased by 38%, or $1685 per home.
On January 1, 2010, the Chapel Hill School District Impact Fees will increase again, to $7616 per home, another 25% increase. These impact fees are in addition to the building permit fees, water fees, and sewer fees required to build a new home in Chapel Hill.
Looking to build in Chapel Hill soon? Apply for permits as soon as possible - as long as all permits are approved and paid before the end of the year, you can still build at 2009 costs.
Otherwise, your new home will cost $1524 more, after January 1st, 2010.
Orange County School District Changes
School district impact fees in Orange County have been $3,000 per single family home since 2001.
On January 1 2010, these fees will be increasing, with a yearly increase for each of three years.

Orange County Schools District impact fees will increase from $3000 to $3749, with even more significant increases in 2011 and 2012. This is an increase of 25% for new single family homes, and again, these fees are separate from all other building permits and fees.
Chapel Hill and Orange County continues to be one of the most sought after areas of the Triangle - and it's going to be a little more expensive to build a new home there now.

Tickled Pink is A fundraiser to provide direct support to cancer patients and their families through UNC's Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP) at the new N.C. Cancer Hospital.
The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the N.C. Cancer Hospital
The Chapel Hill office of Coldwell Banker HPW turned fall decorations pink, including a pink pumpkin patch, as part of an initiative to Turn the Town Pink for the month of October to show support for the Tickled Pink fundraiser.
Every year the Chapel Hill office of CBHPW volunteers to wait tables, set and clear tables and help clean up for the 300 guest benefit ladies luncheon at the Pope Box at Kenan Stadium It is a community service event for our office and a non networking event. No business cards and no name tags!!
Julie Amos-Sermons, a very energetic CBHPW agent, was the event co-chair and worked hard all year to make the sold out ladies luncheon a success.

CBHPW agent Barbara Pater is ready to serve!

Ladies were Tickled Pink to buy the donated flower arrangements.
Well, we are on to our next project, a turkey giveaway, for the holidays.
