Tucked away on the East side of Charlotte off Independence is a quiet family oriented area called Idlewild. The area between Albermarle Road and Idlewild Road reminds of me of the days when I was growing up. The streets are lined with trees and kids are outside playing. People are working on their yards and as you drive through the streets they still wave to you.
The neighborhood has homes mostly built in the 60's through 70's offers that old world charm with modern day convience. But what attracted me to the area most is the fact that most of the side streets are dead end streets or cul de sacs. Driving through the neighborhood during different parts of the day made me aware fo the lack of traffic and noise once you depart Independence Blvd. A great place for kids to play without worrying about someone driving through the neighborhood..... lots here seem to be of a good size allowing plenty of room for the kids to enjoy a yard.
As yo drive through the neighborhood you will notice the pride that people take in the care of their yard and homes..pride of home ownership is abundant here.
Becasue of it's convient location traffic is very minimal through the area. Bordered by three major roads this little pocket of east Charlotte offers peace and tranquility from the hustle of everyday life. Conviently located off Independence Blvd. this area of Charlotte is within ten to fifteen minutes of uptown. Yet also within minutes of dining, stores, and specialty shops.
Come and see what affordable housing in the idlewild area can give you.......
