About Charlotte's South Park

In August 2011 4 condos/townhomes sold in the South Park area, a 100% increase from the 2 condos or townhomes sold in July 2011. August 2011 sales figures decreased 33% from August 2010 when 6 condos sold.

The average sales price increased 26.3% from $143,500 in July 2011 to $181,250 in August 2011. August 2011 average sales price decreased 5% from the August 2010 average sales price which was $190,750.

Average days on the market increased 155% from 170 in July to 434 in August. August 2010 average days on the market were 166.

Currently there are 57 condo/townhomes listed for sale in the South Park area. The average unit is a 2 bed/2 bath home with 1,378 square feeet and an average list price of $221,862, down 1.5% from July’s average list price of $225,130. The average days on the market are 218. Five South Park condos/townhomes are currently under contract, down 28.6% from July.

In July 2011 2 condos/townhomes sold in the South Park area, a 60% decrease from the 5 condos or townhomes sold in June 2011. July 2011 sales figures decreased 77.8% from July 2010 when 9 condos sold.

The average sales price decreased 43% from $251,800 in June 2011 to $143,500 in July 2011. July 2011 average sales price decreased 48.6% from the July 2010 average sales price which was $278,944.

Average days on the market decreased 22% from 218 in June to 170 in July. July 2010 average days on the market were 166.

Currently there are 68 condo/townhomes listed for sale in the South Park area. The average unit is a 2 bed/2 bath home with 1,380 square feeet and an average list price of $225,130, down .9% from June’s average list price of $227,127. The average days on the market are 208. Seven South Park condos/townhomes are currently under contract, up 75% from June.

In May 2011 5 condos/townhomes sold in the South Park area, a 66% increase from the 3 condos or townhomes sold in April 2011. May 2011 sales figures decreased 37.5% from May 2010 when 8 condos sold.

The average sales price decreased 25.6% from $187,400 in April 2011 to $139,500 in May 2011. May 2011 average sales price decreased 26% from the May 2010 average sales price which was $188,250.

Average days on the market increased 31% from 64 in April to 84 in May. May 2010 average days on the market were 151.

Currently there are 61 condo/townhomes listed for sale in the South Park area. The average unit is a 2 bed/2 bath home with 1,450 square feeet and an average list price of $220,126. The average days on the market are 216. Five South Park condos/townhomes are currently under contract.

The monthly pet adoption event at Charlotte NC's South Park mall will be held this Saturday November 6, 2010 from 10am-4pm at Circle Court.

Cats, kittens, dogs and puppies searching for a forever home will be  available for adoption at the event.  If you or someone you know are ready, able and willing to have a new pet join your family this is a great community pet adoption event put on by the staff and volunteers of Charlotte's Animal Care and Control Department.

Of course you don't have to wait for the South Park pet adoption event, you can always check out the adoptable pets online and stop by the shelter to visit and interact with them in person.

The new HomeGoods Store in Charlotte NC's South Park area will open on October 10th with a Grand Opening celebration from 8am-8pm.

Right now the only other Charlotte store is in Ballantyne at the Blakeney shopping center and although there's also one in Huntersville this Sharon Corners HomeGoods will be more centrally located than either of those locations.

Whenever I'm in Ballantyne and have spare time I do stop into the HomeGoods store at Blakeney, it'll be great to have a new option over at South Park and since their inventory changes so frequently no two visits are ever really the same.
