I had a buyer come in from DC last week and we toured a bunch of homes in Glen Laurel Subdivision in Clayton NC. There is a good selection of homes in Glen Laurel and in various price ranges and age and condition. There are a couple of foreclosures (most subdivisions have at least one!),some homes have been on the market quite a while, possible due to lack of upgrades. There are some new construction homes available as well.

There were six homes sold in the TMLS in August in Glen Laurel in Clayton and the sold price range was $205,000 sales price for a home built in 1994 to $342,900 for a home built in 2010. The range in price per square foot was from $91 up to $139.

There are six home pending in the TMLS ranging in price from $184,900 for a 1993 foreclosure to $450,000 for a 2010 luxury custom built home.

Currently there are 48 homes listed active in the TMLS and you have a good range to choose from.

Glen Laurel is a beautiful golf course community in Clayton NC. It is built around the award winning Neuse Golf Course,it has many miles of sidewalks, tennis courts, pool etc. The community was started around 1993 and so has a lot of mature trees, shrubs and landscaping, there is also a number of ne construction homes available.

Glen Laurel in Clayton North Carolina is a beautiful community on The Neuse Golf Course. It is a development of single family homes that was started some years ago about 1993 but still has new construction homes being built and so there are numerous styles and price ranges to choose from.

There are older homes that are on the golf course that come on the market so if a golf course lot is what you like you might find it in a home that may require some updating.

Currently, according to the figures from the Triangle MLS there are 53 Glen Laurel Homes for Sale, the price range is from approx $209,000 up to $750,000, the average $325,000 and the average price per square foot is $112.

There are six properties contingent this could mean the buyers have a house to sell before they can move forward. Low price is $190,000 and high is $342,000.

There are five homes pending which means an offer has been accepted and this is the period that inspections are being done and the buyer is getting financing.Low price is $220,000 up to $450,000.

There have been eighteen homes sold in Glen Laurel this year and prices there have ranged from $186,000 up to $505,000. The average price per square foot was $108, and the average days on market was 268 days.

As with all of these numbers you have to keep an open mind they cannot be applied to every home. For example the lowest priced home sold in fifteen days while the highest sold in six hundred and thirty days....make sure you get all the information from a Real Estate Agent (like me) before you buy a home in Glen Laurel or anywhere. Was one a foreclosure snapped up by a bargain hunter or was one, new construction that took a year to build?

Glen Laurel is located in Clayton NC which is about twenty minutes from Raleigh. It is a golf community on The Neuse Golf Club. There are many types of homes for sale in Glen Laurel at this time June 30th 2010, and prices range from $189,900 up to $750,000. House sizes range from just under 2000 square feet to over 5500 square feet.

Year to date there were seventeen properties sold, there are currently five properties pending and two properties are contingent.There are fifty five properties listed active in the Triangle MLS.Glen Laurel is minutes from downtown Clayton and Smithfield, it is convenient to shopping, hospitals, schools, restaurants, etc. It is a short drive to Raleigh, a little further to RTP and a mere two hours to Carolina Beach.

Glen Laurel in Clayton has been established for a number of years but still has new construction available, that accounts for some of the price varience and also golf course lots etc. To date there are five new construction homes for sale in Glen Laurel and year to date five new construction homes in Glen Laurel have sold.

The Community has a well established feel and lots of mature landscaping, sidewalks (always a plus) a swim club and tennis courts.There are numerous social groups and group outings/golf tournaments etc. The schools in the area for residents of Glen Laurel are Powhatan Elementary, Riverwood Middle, Clayton High School
