There is a golf course, tennis courts, several parks, 6 pools, multiple club houses, fitness center, walking trails, side walks for biking, walking & running, play grounds, day care, and more. The Mecklenburg County/Cabarrus County line runs through Highland Creek. The homes on the Cabarrus County side are zoned to go to Cox Mill. Highland Creek is also minutes from Concord Mills for shopping, dining and movies. Interstates 77, 85, and 485 are also less than 10 minutes for easy access to work anywhere in the Charlotte Metro area. I have lived in this community for almost 5 years and love it. There are different styles of homes for everyone. 
Moss Creek is a master plan community with resort style amenities as well. There is an Olympic size swimming pool, club house, tennis courts, play grounds, walking trails, and HOA lawn watering at scheduled times. This community also has Odell Elementary and Harris Rd Middle schools in the neighborhood. All of Moss Creek is in Cabarrus County and Moss Creek is minutes from interstates 77, 85, and 485 for an easy work commute. The community is a little smaller in size than Highland Creek and building started in the early 2000s. Many of my friends and clients call this community home and are very happy here.
