It has been said that North Carolina is one of the best states to buy mountain homes. However, most people think that a property in NC can cost a lot of money, but this is definitely not true. Today, I will be discussing the affordability of mountain properties in Carolina in terms of acreage, which will help you, learn whether or not it is a good investment to buy mountain properties in the wonderful Smoky Mountains.

There are a lot of factors that can affect the price of mountain properties such as the location, accessibility, recreational areas and activities available. Properties that are placed in a very accessible area are said to be twice more expensive compared to properties that are placed away from roads. There is a lot of mountain property in North Carolina that are placed almost down the road, and these are obviously more expensive than an isolated property. Just don’t forget about the old adage “LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION”.

If you are going to consider the ambiance of the area, together with the level of fun, excitement and relaxation that it can provide, the price of log homes in North Carolina in terms of acreage is definitely more affordable. If you are going to use the Internet, it will not be hard to find an 11-acre land parcel that can be purchased for as low as $45,000. If you are going to ask me, a property that is surrounded with mountains and is almost down the road at a price of $45,000 is more than affordable. In fact, some people are even willing to pay more than this amount just to have a mountain property where they can relax and have fun during their vacation.

Buying a mountain retreat is the dream of many people, but due to its expensive price, most of us cannot afford to buy the property of our dreams. However, you should not be stuck with the thought of being unable to live in a quiet and relaxing yet exciting place. There are a lot of properties that can be purchased in the NC mountains, and most of them are a lot more affordable if compared with the properties sold in other states and regions.
