About Duck's Bias Shores

Duck Road Construction Underway in Duck NC began Monday, October 26. This construction will improve the water issues on the road during heavy rains and consists of removing, raising, and repaving the road in the south end of Duck from about Bias Lane to Seahawk. There will be storm water chambers added to forever erridacate ourinfamous Tuckahoe Lake.

OK, so the Tuckahoe Drive issue has been fixed for some time, but I still remember the storm that dumped inches and inches on Duck and caused flooding at Tuckahoe Drive to the point that traffic was only one lane. That one lane was on the bike/walking path. Firemen were directing traffic with their tall boots on!

Duck Road Construction Underway in Duck NC is expected to be complete by May 14, 2010. The delays are minimal with one lane traffic at the construction area. The construction will be suspended during Thanksgiving and Christmas then again during Easter Week.
