Lands End Emerald Isle North Carolina is a perfect Beach Home for anyone wanting the the quaint and family style beaches of eastern North Carolina. Along coastal North Carolina you will find the SOBX or Southern Outer Banks. Nestled in the SOBX you may one day be lucky enough to visit the jewel of the Crystal Coast - Emerald Isle North Carolina.
Emerald Isle NC is one of the few pet friendly beaches on our coast, is a very family oriented beach destination and boasts one of the last active fishing piers along the Outer Banks North and South.
For those buyers who are looking for a primary residence or a second home they will find that the Lands End Emerald Isle Carolina subdivision is considered by some the most exclusive and premier subdivision on the Emerald Island. You will find premium oceanfront Emerald Isle homes as well as more modest interior homes with prices ranging from the low $400,000s to just under $4 million.
Lands End Emerald Isle North Carolina, Gate House
The Gatehouse is NOT maintained by guards on a 24/7 basis and the actual hours vary throughout the year with summer being the longest hours of operation. Guests arriving outside of the manned hours can use the keypad to call the house of an owner to be "buzzed in" using a phone line. Once inside the community the favorite mode of transportation is the golf cart. Walking too is a favorite and there are some community walks.
Homeowners may rent the Club House for personal parties and events for the going rate (currently $200.00). There is a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave, however catering is the way to go for most events. The neighborhood hosts card games, crafts and other events at the club for owners throughout the year, but mainly in the off season. You will need to complete the Lands End Emerald Isle Club House Reservation Agreement to use the club house.
Often homeowners are looking to the future in their purchase of a home for sale in Lands End Emerald Isle. For the near term they are looking for a second home that will double as an income producing rental property. One caution is the length of stay for vacation rentals there must be a minimum stay of two weeks for all vacation rentals. Often you will find northern snow birds looking for monthly rentals in the winter season as well as traditional summer vacation rentals.
Lands End Emerald Isle - Community Pool - The pool is open seasonally. It opens May 1st and closes sometime between September 15 and October 15 depending on weather. The hours also vary depending on the season. It generally opens at 8:00am and closes at 10:00pm in peak summer season and 6:00pm in the fringe seasons.
The association dues for Lands End Emerald Isle (as of October 2009) is $338 per quarter per property which covers the pool, the gate house, the guards, the tennis courts and the club house. The streets in Lands End are private so there is also a reserve in the HOA budget for road maintenance. There was re-paving done in the subdivision in the last 5 to 6 years. The ponds throughout the neighborhood are on a pump system which will alleviate overflow when there are heavy rains.

Lands End Emerald Isle North Carolina is a wonderful ocean side subdivision on this quaint outer island of the Crystal Coast NC - also known as the Southern Outer Banks. Although the majority of residents call Lands End their primary home many vacationers temporarily call Lands end home too. Plan on a minimum of a two week stay as weekly rentals are not permitted. Community amenities in this ocean front subdivision include clubhouse, beach walkway, pool and four tennis courts. Roads are private and the utilities are run underground. The beaches are as inviting for those who want to play and relax in the sun as to those who enjoy angling for the catch. The private Lands End Emerald Isle walkway will carry you through the dunes to the awaiting surf. The majority of Emerald Isle's full time residents call the west end home.
Lands End subdivision is considered by some the most exclusive and premier subdivision the island has to offer.
Don't expect to go touring through Lands End. They are serious about their gated community and they have a guard at the gatehouse to check in all registered guests visiting property. Don't worry if you're not on the list. They will gladly telephone your host on your behalf.
