Welcome to the Retirement Community of Spring Haven, a well maintained retirement community in the Mountains of Western North Carolina. Located just south of Hendersonville, in the Village of Flat Rock. There are about 100 Mobile Homes in Spring Haven, and you will find it to be very well maintained with meticulous lawns, streets and homes.

You will also find a Community Center with a Meeting Hall, Library, Pool Tables and Shuffle Board Courts. Activities include card games, pool and Social Events.

Lots are leased and the homes are owned. The Lot Rent Fees are $273 per month.

I visited The Orchard's at Flat Rock in Flat Rock NC again recently and see that they are progressing with more building in this popular senior community. The Orchard's of Flat Rock are an upscale community of beautiful homes.

Each home in The Orchard's of Flat Rock was built with energy effiency (Energy Star Certified) and Low Maintenance (with Stone and Hardyplank exteriors) in mind. Exterior and lawn maintenance is included in the HOA fees, giving you your weekends back. And each home has an open floor plan and lots of large windows. These Bungalows are single floor plans in the Craftsman style.

The Orchard's at Flat Rock also has a beautiful Community Center, a large pool, and on-site walking trails.

Located just minutes from I-26, it gives you quick access to Asheville, Greenville/Spartanbug and Atlanta.

There are currently 18 Townhomes available in The Orchards of Flat Rock. Townhomes range from 2 to 3 bedrooms, and are between 1100 and 1900 square feet. Many also come with a sunroom or den as well. Prices range from $214,000 to $320,000.

Highland Lake Flat Rock NC

Highland Lake in Flat Rock NC is a unique Community of homes, businesses and neighbors, located just south of Historic Downtown Hendersonville, and the big city of Asheville. Here you will find a town within a town, that really has everything.

There are several areas for living within Highland Lake and each have their own feel and look. Starting on the east side of Highland Lakes 20+ acres, you will find homes that are Craftsman style, built close together and close to the sidewalks, encouraging neighbors to be neighbors. As you walk down the sidewalks, meet your neighbors sitting on their large porches.

The thing I love about this part of Highland Lake is seeing all of the beautiful yards. I don't think there is a member in this community that doesn't absolutely love to garden, and it really shows. Everywhere you turn there are beautiful colors and landscaping. A community of master gardeners, even if they don't know it. I love to come here to get ideas for my own garden.

The first time I drove through this community, I was not sure how I felt about the closeness of the homes. But after years of looking at all of the homes for sale, I have come to appreciate the attention the builders placed on making them close and yet, each is built for privacy from within. And each have unique interiors, with special finds here and there.

The window placement and the level of each home has been considered carefully and you will never see into a neighbors home. It has the feel of being in a close neighborhood, but with privacy from within.

There are always neighbors walking and biking in the neighborhoods, and I always see people stopping to talk to each other. It is a very friendly community.

Another neighborhood within Highland Lake is the Garden Hamlet. These are a collection of small cottages built around an open field of goats and donkeys, a meadow of flowers and vegetable gardens and greenhouses. Walk the meadow and enjoy looking at the gardens and animals.

The South Lake area of Highland Lake is now under construction. Here you will be able to watch the seasons change from reflections in the lake as Blue Herons enjoy the lake with you. Tucked in a secluded area of the community, these will be cluster homes. Enjoy nature and the lake, which will make you feel as if every day is a vacation! But you can live here year round!

Amenities in this community include: The Season's Restaurant, The Highland Lake Inn, The LakeHouse Lodge and Spa, Flat Rock Fitness, The Highland Lake Golf Club, The Yoga Studio at Highland Lake, and the farm and garden experience at the Hamlet.

Season's Restaurant, surrounded by gardens, is in the center of the community. It is known for the best food in town and has beautiful views of the gardens from it's large windows, making it a great country dining experience. Their Sunday Brunches are known as the best, served from 10:30 until 2:00.

The Lakehouse Lodge and Spa is situated in the woods along the Lake Shore of the Highland Lake community. The Adirondack Style Lodge is a great place to get away from everything city. With charming suites, and spas and massage available, you'll love being pampered into a relaxed state. Enjoy views of the lake and woods as you walk through the property. Or enjoy sitting in one of the many comfortable areas while you listen to the birds and nature.

Charleston Garden at Flat Rock is beautiful Luxury Condominiums in Historic Flat Rock Village. Located in the rennovated Flat Rock Gymnasium of the old Flat Rock High School. Balconies overlook a beautiful half acre of gardens. The exterior brick has been lovingly restored and the added areas area matched perfectly.

The lower level units have the original gym flooring and it has been resored beautifully. All of the units have professional, upgraded kitchens, hardwood and tile floors.
