I almost couldn't believe it yesterday when I read on Facebook about a black bear in Guilford Hills. I mean, really, Guilford Hills in Greensboro?!? It is definitely not a rural area. Bounded by Battleground Boulevard and Benjamin Parkway, tucked between Target and Friendly Center, how in the world could a bear be living there?

However, this morning's News and Record confirmed that there was in fact a black bear chased up a tree yesterday morning by two neighborhood dogs. To put it mildly, this is very rare here in Greensboro.
