About Indian Trail's Lake Park

The Village of Lake Park was designed by developers in the mid-1990s to create a small town atmosphere where individuals and families in every life stage could find a place to live and the community organizations and amenities that enhance a small town lifestyle. They did that and more; they created Union County's most walkable town.

A landscaped park with a bell tower and a village green with gazebo dominate the Lake Park Town Center in the heart of the village. Town festivals, such as the Kite Festival in March and the Fall Festival, take place at the village green. Lake Park's landmark, a chiming clocktower, overlooks this beautiful village with church, schools, shops, offices, and a community center.

The village includes 3 parks, 2 swimming pools, a wading pool, a "feature pool", tennis courts, 6 playgrounds and 13 ponds which provide plentiful recreation and entertainment. Unique monuments and gazebos identify the distinctive neighborhoods with tree-lined sidewalks connecting them all.

Town Center commercial buildings include office space, a coffee shop, a restaurant and other small businesses. A day care center, a private school, and several churches are also found in the Town Center.
