I sell new homes at our subdivision, but I also am a superintendent, and general caretaker of things at Summerlin Trace, so one of the first order of business on Friday morning was to go over and check out things and see how our new homes fared. My Wife and I had dropped off our children at Grandma's house the evening before, so we were able to take our time and snap some pictures.
Everything at Summerlin Trace looked fine and in good order, and we did not lose power on any new homes or have any downed trees or anything. The snow was wet and thick and clung to the trees. The yards and signs were covered, as well as the roofs.
I took a couple of minutes and also walked through the 2 acre park that we have provided for residents of our new homes. This was the best part to me, as everything was super quiet and the snow crunched under my feet. I was the first one who had walked through this area, and it felt like I was an explorer finding my way through a new land.
Anyway, to sum it all up, I know that many people who are looking in our area for new homes want nothing to do with snow. I want to EMPHASIZE that this beautiful snow was gone the next day and we were left with soggy ground but no issues. To southerners, snow is like a distant relative that you get to see rarely. You're excited to see them, excited to catch up on things, and excited to see them go after a brief visit. In that sense, this was a perfect snow.
If you are looking for new homes in the Wilmington/Leland North Carolina area, priced from the $140's, you can't do better than Summerlin Trace. If you need more information or just want to see what the weather is like TODAY, just give me a call. I'd love to meet you. You can visit here to see our new homes for sale and real estate website.

The new homes of Summerlin Trace are located in Leland 1/2 mile off of Hwy 74/76, only 8 minutes from downtown Wilmington. We have large, open floor plans, and have new homes priced from $140,000. For under $150K you can have a new 1350 square foot new home, that includes a one car garage and has many, many upgrades. For much more info, please visit our New Homes Website.
Why should you consider the new homes of Summerlin Trace?
1. Location: Our location 1 mile from the upcoming I-140 bypass is ideally located! You will have a controlled access highway to North Wilmington and also still be only 8 minutes from downtown Wilmington. The good news is that our new homes subdivision is 800 ft off of the secondary rd, and even farther away from the four lane highways. So you get all the benefit and none of the aggravation of road noise and traffic.
2. Quality: Our new homes are built by Mazzarone Construction, a distinguished member of the Wilmington Cape Fear Home Builders Association. Pat and Donna Mazzarone have built hundreds of new homes over the past 25 years and enjoy a wonderful reputation in the area. Our homes always receive compliments from the attention to detail of the interior and exterior finish.
3. Price: Our new homes are priced competitively, and offer the best value in the Leland NC real estate market. At Summerlin Trace, you get more for less!
4. Attitude: Do you hate going into a model home and receiving pressure from overeager sales agents? Here at Summerlin Trace, our new homes sales team, led by myself, will always be friendly, accessible and will answer your questions. We will never be pushy, or provide less than excellent service.
