Scottish Games Coming To Mint Hill THIS WEEKEND!!!

Brian Belcher : Charlotte Realtor: Real Estate Agent in Charlotte, NC

Break out your kilts and your bag pipes! The Scottish Highland Games are back in Mint Hill this weekend with all the regalia and rowdy times that have come to characterize this cultural event in our own back yard. Friday night kicks off the event with a concert featuring several bands and a "calling of the clans". Then, beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, events such as the caber toss (throwing a giant tree log), Scottish dancing demonstrations, a Scottish parade and a day full of authentic cuisine will be available to Charlotte area residents and visitors. It's only $5.00 a car, so pool up with friends and family and join us at the Highland Games!

The entire weekend's fun will be held out at Mint Hill Park. For more info visit: http://www.minthillscottishsociety.org/. We know you'll have a blast! Just one word of advice though--take your allergy meds as this event is in a grassy field and can get dusty!

Bridges of Mint Hill Construction Is Underway!!!

Brian Belcher : Charlotte Realtor: Real Estate Agent in Charlotte, NC

Physical work has started out at the Bridges of Mint Hill Shopping Complex, though an official groundbreaking ceremony has not yet occurred. The 1.3 million sq. ft. center will feature several popular retailers such as Belk, Barnes and Noble and Talbots. It will also house specialty shops, restaurants, a cinema complex and contain outdoor living space for client use.

Located just off of I-485 at Lawyer's Road, the center is scheduled to open in 2009 for your shopping pleasure!

Mint Hill Shopping Complex Finally Underway!

Brian Belcher : Charlotte Realtor: Real Estate Agent in Charlotte, NC

Ground broke February 7, 2008 for the new Bridges of Mint Hill shopping complex. Belk, Dillards, Barnes and Nobel and Consolidated Theatres are all on board for the Bridges. Similar to the Stonecrest complex in Ballantyne, The Bridges will contain freestanding stores and finished outdoor spaces.

The 1.3 million square feet of shopping space is a welcome addition to the community for most, but has inspired some controversy. The main issue that arose concerned the dislocation of the heelsplitter, an endangered species. Secondary issues arose from questions about traffic troubles that could arise from increased use of Lawyers Road and Baines School Road.

Mint Hill North Carolina

Rich Ferretti ABR QSC Realtor/Broker Charlotte NC Real Estate and Relocation : Real Estate Agent in Mint Hill, NC

Mint Hill NC is a suburb of Charlotte. Located South East of Charlotte and right next door to Matthews. Until a few years ago Mint Hill was a small town, rural in nature and everyone liked it like that way. Well today Mint Hill still has the small town feel but is growing with new develpments and not your average developments. We're talking about high end top dollar homes. One development, on Lawyers road will have a 4 plus acre vineyard and homes that start in the 1.2 million price range. Not bad for a quiet sleepy town.

Our town mayor and council members have a done a great job with controlled growth. We're growing but we're growing with our eyes on the Future.

We are still family orientated, have you attend Mint Hill Madness or our town parade? What a great time for yound and old alike.

If you are considering a move to Charlotte, make sure you check out Mint Hill. It's where Mayberry meets the 21st Century.
