Southern Pines Christmas Parade was Saturday Dec. 4 and the holiday season is off and running.

On Saturday a large crowd came out to see the annual Southern Pines Christmas Parade. It was cooler than we usually experience this time of year and we even had a few snow flurries. It was very festive and most importantly the kids had a great time.

Yesterday, I posted a Southern Pines Christmas Picture of the Weymouth house, a historic house in Southern Pines. This is another picture I took during the tour.

Tonight in Southern Pines, Christmas is celebrated at the Weymouth House, a historic home that supports the arts in our area.

Pictures could not possibly do this Southern Pines historic home justice as they decorate for Christmas. This is a center for the arts in Moore County, and each Christmas various business and clubs decorate a room and the house is open for tours. Tonight was the candle light tour followed by wine and cheese.

Weymouth House is located on Connecticut Ave just east of Broad Street in Southern Pines. Christmas is celebrated as each room is decorated in a different theme by different people dedicated to promoting the arts in Southern Pines and all of Moore County.

I took this Christmas photo today on my way to lunch with a friend in Southern Pines and saw this cutely decorated window.

This is a cute little shop that sells gift items and personalized stationary and way too many things to list here. It is located on the way into downtown Southern Pines, and is connected to a small art gallery which leads to a lunch cafe.

This is a fun place to go. Behind me is the store with all the gift items, this (above) is the loby that leads to an art gallery with paintings by local artists that then leads into the restaurant. It was a cool day, so a cup of fresh made chili hit the spot.

The shop is RSVP and the restaurant is The Market Place and are located at 2160 Midland Rd. It has a Pinehurst, NC address, but it is in the town limits of Southern Pines.

There are so many fun Christmas scenes in and around Southern Pines shops, and I look forward to sharing more.
