About Southport's Beaver Creek

Well, I have been hone for 3 days now and my office does not want me to come back.

I am going stir crazy..not able to do the things that I feel like I must do.

Trying to do all that I can on the computer...but not going on listing appointments. Had to cancel one today that was to be at 3:00. Told the future seller that it would not be a good thing for me to see her today.

She agreed..

Maybe next week.

The SeaNotes Christmas Concert is preforming their Christmas Concert at the Odell Williamson Auditorium in Bolivia this Friday Night at 7:30 and then again on Sunday at 3:00.

"The Rain in Spain falls Mainly on the Plain."

Not so here. I am in the southeast part of North Carolina where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Cape Fear River...and the rain is falling on us.

We live on a creek, called the Beaver Dam Creek (for obvious reasons) and the 10 inches of rain that we have gotten..is quite enough.

Seems like the weather systems that affect us think we need more.

Tonight we went to share in the awards program for the newspaper in the state of North Carolina.

This meeting was held at the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill NC. (The court where the Tar Heels play to win..)

The meeting was excellent and our own State Port Pilot received 20 awards for the excellence of our Newspaper. WE are a community newspaper in the coastal area of North Carolina.
