I am watching a program about Hurricane Katrina, on the Weather Channel. I was absolutely astounded and what I saw. There was so much of a lack of response to help those folks that were stranded in New Orleans. They were desperate for food, water and shelter. I can not imagine what they experienced.
I live in a coastal community of North Carolina and I can not fathom that happening ot us here.
Eyes open now..

Today our church, roasted our Pastor Skip Williams tonight. He has been our minister for 7 years. Our church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport NC was Blessed to have Skip with us.
He started many different ministries here. I can not possibly name them all but I do want to mention a few. The Stephens Ministries, The Prayer Shaw Angels, Kiros Cookie Prison Ministry were very active in our church.
Many folks have benefitted so much with the work of this fine man. He will be moving to Raleigh NC to pastor a church there.
God Bless YOU..

Well,
Another rainy day in Southport! If we didn't need the rain that much I would be blue..but the fact is that we do need this rain. We need it because we had been in a drought for much of last year. This rain is a Godsend to us.
The garden is planted and we are seeing the fruits of our labor coming up all around. Even the field peas are up and growing.
It will be a fun time on the 4th..sharing these good veggies with family and friends.
Take care,

Well,
Another beautiful day in Paradise!
Sunny and warm. I am enjoying this time of the year so very much. It is quiet on our highways right now. The Easter Vacationers have gone home ...but will return during the heat of Summer.
Not much real estate activity going on right now but it is picking up some.
Hope it is going well for you.
Take care,
