"I feel like I'm living in a dream come true", said our buyer after she moved into her new home.
The deed recorded late in the afternoon on August 3rd. By nightfall, our clients had moved many of their belongings and their 4 children from the life they'd always known in Cherokee, NC to a wonderful house just outside of downtown Sylva. When I asked her if she was happy, she couldn't believe how incredibly lucky she felt. "My kids are downtown at the swimming pool and park, and its just 5 minutes from the house!" were her cheerful words.
This is exactly why I love real estate. The house they bought was not the house they originally contacted us about. Isn't this what happens most of the time? This relationship started as a floor call to our office in mid March this year and was generated by one of our listings in the MoonDancer Realty Buyers Guide ad. We met with them the next evening, reviewed the Agency disclosure and signed a Buyers Agency Agreement. We drove out to see the house in the ad. OMG, THEY LOVED IT! The yard, the floor plan, the size, the potential all were part of their vision. Our seller, our buyer...might have been a perfect scenario for all involved.
Even though they LOVED this house, being first time homebuyers they wanted to be sure this would be their best option, so...we looked at houses, lots and lots of houses. Very long story short, they offered on the first house and the parties couldn't agree to price. Mrs. Buyer was so bummed, she almost gave up on the dream. Good thing she had great Buyer Agents and a loving partner in her husband to encourage her. We started looking again. The house they ultimately bought also used to be our listing (you know how that goes!), so we knew it intimately AND it was one of Leslie's favorite houses. Leslie knew before they did that this would be THE house for them.
Talk about perfect clients. Everything we asked of them, everything the lender required, every question the attorney asked was taken care of promptly. As a result, this very special couple snagged a tremendous house with $30,000 equity already built in. Unknowingly, they are the silent role models…to their Cherokee community, their children and their new community. We wish them a lifetime of continued good decisions and happiness.

Nothing can replace the satisfaction of a job well done like hearing your client say “Thank you so much for your help, I feel like I’m living in a dream come true”.
