17th Annual Blue Ridge BBQ and Music Festival in Tryon NC

If you aren't planning on being in Tryon NC this weekend, you may well be missing the best place to taste the south's best of the best BBQ grillers this year. The best of the best always show up, coming from all over the two Carolina's and further. This Friday, 3-11pm and Saturday 10am to 11pm, June 11-12th at Harmon Field in Tryon, you will find arts and crafts, great food, rides and entertainment for the kids and more.

Admission is $7 for adults and kids are free! Parking is fre as well. You can listen to a great mix of ecelctic music, eat the best food, and see some of the nicest crafts around all in one place.

Come out Satruday April 3rd and enjoy Tryon NC's Fool's Festival. Great Family event featuring Live Local Music!

The musical portion of Tryon’s Fool’s Fest on Saturday, April 3, will feature the live debut of ‘Wishgrove’. Also playing will be local Celtic band ‘The Slow Jammers’ and the fabulous ‘Jim Peterman Band’. The music starts at 1PM, just after the parade.

Wishgrove is a rock band from the mountains of North Carolina. They write, record, and perform their own unique original music. The result of their chemistry is a wide ranging, high energy three-piece sound. This show actually marks their first anniversary of meeting, and beginning to write music together.

Wishgrove has just completed their first full-length CD ‘I Lost My Head’, and the band is looking forward to playing their music live in 2010. You can stream their music for free at http://www.myspace.com/wishgrove or wishgrove.com.

The band features Ken Williams (Lake Lure) on drums and vocals, Mark McCullough (Hendersonville) on bass and vocals, and Rich Nelson (Tryon) on lead vocals, guitar, and keyboards.
