Over the past several years, I have compiled and tracked active and sold listings on the Omaha MLS. Here are a couple of interesting statistics I wanted to point out about the Sarpy county real estate market. Active listings continue to be down by 15% to 20% for 2009. Sold listings are up 25% from August 08 174 homes, compared to August 2009 total of 225.
Thanks for viewing my home market report and check out my website at www.OmahaReatyPro.com. If you're considering selling a home, I would appreciate the opportunity to market your home. If you are considering buying a home, be sure to check out my website and search the Omaha MLS for homes and when you are ready I would be happy to help purchase your new home.
Information was pulled from the Great Plains Omaha Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service 9/10/09; OABR deems information reliable but not guaranteed. Prepared by Steve Lauver-REALTOR Data does not include any private home sales

"Is it a bird or a plane? No It's Super Something!"
Bird, Bug, Moth...I don't know. Help!
This awesome creature was sucking from my flowers this morning early, just after dawn.
See the straw like beak, tongue, appendage?
There were several of them fluttering like little birds. They were non-threatening. Just hovering around the flowers. They were fluttering so quickly I couldn't see them clearly..
At first I thought I had humming birds but I couldn't see them well enough.
I got my camera to capture their image.
Is it a locust?
A moth or a bird?
Help! I have to know...

Ground breaking for the new Omaha Royals stadium in Sarpy County last Wednesday was reminiscent of the Field of Dreams, except it was the real thing. There was a large crowd of enthusiastic baseball fans surrounded by cornfields. As the crowd awaited the ceremony, they were treated to the usual ballgame fare of hotdogs, peanuts, and cold drinks.
While Sarpy County is one of the fastest growing counties in Nebraska, it still retains the feel of small town and this stadium will only add to that cohesive, friendly atmosphere.
The Omaha Royals team was warmly welcomed and the crowd was happy for a glimpse, if not an autograph, of hall of famers, George Brett and Bob Gibson.
Let's play ball in April of 2011!

Joel & Lois assisted with the sale of my listing at 7709 S 155 Ave in Giles Ridge by representing the buyer.
Having a good agent on the other side of a sale makes closing a deal much easier and it makes my career much more enjoyable.
I hope we can do more business together in the future.
