For Gloria Jensen the show must go on irregardless of the obstacles. After a recent performance of "The All-Night Strut" at the Bellevue Little Theater, she slipped and fell while taking a final bow. That fall resulted in two broken arms. Her husband took her to the ER for a temporary set. She then returned for the Saturday and Sunday performances before having surgery on the radius bones in both arms last Monday. With casts on both arms, she will continue her singing part in the play for the remaining two weekends. Bravo!!

In view of the declining value of homes, Business Week sought out the most affordable suburb in each state. Business Week looked for suburbs within 25 miles of cities with populations of 5,000 to 60,000 people, family incomes of $51,000 to $120,000, and below average crime rates. However, consideration was also given to commuting distance, quality of education, economic stability (job growth potential and unemployment rates), and the affordability of living in the city.
The most affordable suburb in Nebraska is Papillion according to Business Week. Papillion is a city of 19,059 citizens with a median income of $81,652 and the median cost of a home is $188,000. The unemployment rate is 3 percent and almost half of the residents are married and have children.

Weather in Nebraska is always an interesting topic. Nebraskans typically say that if you do not like the weather wait 24 hours and it will change. Here is one of my listings that just came on the market this month. What a difference a few days makes! The first photo was taken on March 2, 2009 and the second photo was taken on March 7, 2009.
These photos are only separated by 5 days! If you are considering hiring an agent to help you sell your home be sure to look at HOW they market a property. Look at their photos. Do they pay attention to detail? Is there a car in the drive? Trash cans? One of the worst violations is taking a photo and you see a car mirror in the frame! What does that say about their marketing?

A couple of bright spots for 2009, one is the economic stimulus package that offers a tax credit up to $8,000 if they by a home before December 1, 2009.
