I Need Help...If You Can, Please

I have a client that is all alone. She is not married and never had children. Her companion was a small dog that she had for 15 years and last month she had to be put to sleep because of cancer. To her it was like losing a child. She is heart broken and alone.

She is looking for a black male pekingese puppy and asked for my help. We live in Alabama but have not found one in the state. She is on Social Security so does not have a lot of money but does have lots of love to give. If I were a dog, I would want to be hers! Never have I met a person that gave so much love to her fur-baby. Do you know anyone that may breed these dogs?

Major Economy Announcement for Alabama

Well, they just said it! We may have some snow flurries tomorrow. We don't get much snow in Alabama so when they mention it on the news people seem to go crazy. It is the excitement of weather we are not used to receiving.

Usually, everybody flocks to the grocers for milk and bread and anything easy to prepare. People fill their gas tanks for the grill and stock up on batteries, flashlights and maybe even generators. We plan on being secluded for several days and sometimes even plan to have friends over so we can play games and sit up all night waiting for any sign the weatherman was correct. New Rook cards are an absolute MUST!

We did have a blizzard in 1993 which was crippling with ice and snow, other than that...Alabamian's spend a lot hoping to see a little. Share your snow stories with us, what do you do?

4.5% ??? Not Yet, still good news on the horizon!

My phone lines were all red today with repeat clients wanting to refinance to 4.5%. It was all over the news, at least that is what they heard. The word even got a couple of fence sitters moving on purchases.

We are not at 4.5% yet, but we are only 20 basis points away from being at the best levels of pricing since 2003. I did lock one client in today at 4.875% with a discount point. There are many options available.

If you have any idea that you will be moving any time soon, get out NOW and find your home for much lower prices that we have seen in years. If you are going to be in your home long term, refinance now and save tens of thousands on interest.

Do you or anyone you know need to purchase or refinance? Do you have clients waiting for 4.5%?

Lonesome Dove, Handsome Bill and Alabaster, AL

WELCOME TO LONESOME DOVE, ALABASTER, AL POPULATION 1...I have already introduced you to my miracle Uncle, Handsome Bill Holcombe. Handsome Bill was one of those born out of time. He should have been a major player in the Wild Wild West, but that was not in the cards for him. Uncle Bill is a very artistic person with many talents. He is a seasoned musician, and artist, comedian, entertainer, successful and educated business man , friend, brother, daddy, uncle and son. He is loved by everyone that comes in contact with him and he gets to be a cowboy everyday! Always a lover of antiques, old westerns, and the authentic wild west, a retirement hobby turned into a great ministry of sorts. When Uncle Bill moved back home after living in Memphis, TN for 20 some odd years, he bought a home with some acreage and started putting his touch on it. Today his home is opened by appointment to the public. From the beginning of March to the middle of November he entertains in his small town, church groups, red hatters, senior citizens, cancer patients, children with disabilities and military heroes.

Sitting on his 10+ acres is an entire town from the wild west. It is complete with a church that will seat about 75, organ, piano and pulpit all of which were inspired by the church in the movie High Noon. There is a general store, a saloon that serves nothing stronger than sasparillo, a barber shop, jail , grist mill, dodge house, Rose's Cantina, leather room and beautiful display of handtooled gun holsters that are his pride and joy. Everything was made and built by him with will and determination to share his passion of the "Good Old Days "

Visit and you will laugh, kick back and remember a blast from the past. The tours are free and you will also have a soft drink and some of the best pop corn ever made. If you are ever in the Alabaster, AL area and would like some good clean fun and humor, stop by, he would love to see you. He was healed from his cancer and his work for the Lord lives on. Happy Trails!

Roll Tide Roll! Today is the Day!

Talk about great rivals, Alabama and Auburn! This is THE SEC game of the year. This year the Alabama Crimson Tide has seen success on the football field we have not experienced in years. Coach Nick Saban has led the Tide to victories in every game which has been amazing but...the Alabama/Auburn game is the defining moment of our entire year! Folks in the great state of Alabama are gearing up for a day of football and only one will be happy at the end of the great game. This year Alabama may earn the bragging rights! We are going to an Iron Bowl party for this special event.

This reminds me of our industry. Alabama has been down for a while, but when least expected we have had the best year since 1992! The "Tide" can change at any time, will you be ready?

Cheering on the Crimson Tide, ROLL TIDE ROLL!
