I received a call from an advertising agency wanting to stage some apartments for photos. This was a four day project in which I staged two different vacant apartments in two days, had a professional photographer and the advertising representative take pictures on the third day and I de-staged on the fourth day. It was a wham bam job but here are the results:

I had not previously thought about using staging for advertising purposes and I know some companies are offering "virtual staging" for internet advertising but it's definitely something to pursue! It's a way for budget conscious sellers to stage for photos but not have the rental commitment.

I've been so busy, I've not even thought about blogging. I attended a local Chamber of Commerce event where the importance of social networking via the Internet was the meeting topic. I was reminded of Active Rain and how important it was to me when I started my business. I've discovered as a business owner that I must always be looking for new business while still paying proper attention to my existing clients. (Maybe I am still a newbie after all!) I've established my business but now I need to grow it. I attended a Stager's List workshop in Orlando recently and left the event with a renewed dedication to actively working on my business and Active Rain is now on my calendar as a regular part of increasing my knowledge of staging and learning what everyone else is up to. What's working in this market and what's not? Active Rain is like free education and I'm back as a regular participant. I even invited a couple of people I met at the Chamber yesterday to also join the community. Work it!
