- hang out in those little cave thingys in the big park area
- take pictures on the rocks
- build sand castles on the beach
- swim in san Diego’s new "20% less polluted" bay
- get your draws all sandy while making sand angels
- chase pigeons around
- get married with an amazing backdrop
- go fishing
- summertime hang out there at night and listen to a free concert across the bay
- spend an tranquil night alone on the beach and wake up to sea gulls
- pick up giant ducks and show them to your mom
- lay out and have a picnic with the family
- Happy hours at Poehe’s, Candelas, Il Fornaio

As long time Coronado residents and business owners, Charlie and I have not ever heard of anything like this, not even remotely close to what I was about to tell you below. To all AR community members, please say a prayer for Max and his family, and the family of Rebecca Zahau.

On July 11 Monday, an apparent accident happened at the 100-year-old historic Spreckels Mansion- 1043 Ocean Blvd on Coronado Island. Six years old Max Shacknai fell down the staircase and went into a coma. His father and owner of the Spreckels Mansion, Jonah Shacknai, 54, is the founder and CEO of Scottsdale-based Medicis Pharmaceuticals Corp.Medicis founder Shacknai, 54, has served as CEO since 1988, building the pharmaceutical firm into a company that generated $691.6 million in sales and $123.3 million in profit last year. He purchased the 1908 historical mansion four years agao for $12.75 Million.

48 hours later, on July 13, the nude body of Jonah Shacknai’s 32-year-old girlfriend Rebecca Zahau's was found in the mansion.

According to investigators, Rebecca Zahau, who lived in Scottsdale, Arizona in recent years, was found by the brother of Jonah Shacknai, hanging from a balcony. Investigators say her ankles and wrists were tied behind her back.

Zahau's suspicious death is under investigation by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Investigators have yet to rule her death a suicide or a homicide.

Earlier today, with great sadness, Jonah Shacknai conveyed the tragic passing of his son Max died after a serious fall Monday, along with Max’s mother, Jonah’s ex-wife, Dina Romano.

Memorial contributions in Max's honor may be made to the Whispering Hope Ranch Foundation.

Over the last 13 years practicing real estate, I have discovered that the more I

do not want to do something, the harder it becomes. The more I pray not to have

certain kind of clients, the more they appear.

My negative energy around certain tasks causes my body to change, my emotion turns. I

get stressed and frustrated, many things then get in

my way on the road to completing the tasks I so desperately wish someone would take off my hands!

I gradually learn to take responsibility for my energy because my partner and I would have all the power we need to create something better. My dream client's profile is such that I visualize it each and every day. The clients we work with all become dream clients.

Funny how things work. Let go my negative thoughts, stay away from negative people, keep good vibe going.

A couple years ago, Mr. seller wouldn't renew a listing with us after we had advertised in three different high end magazines, weekly full color newspaper ads, two different mailers, a single property website, went through the whole nine yard in terms of listing exposure. The obscene amount of out of pocket $$$ we put in to market the listing, countless showings, Sunday open houses, two caravans, showing feed-backs, follow ups... No matter how hard we presented our case, Mr. seller wouldn't grant us a price adjustment. After our listing term expired, Mr. Seller then switches brokerage, dropped $300,000. It went into escrow in five days . Ouch.

The feeling of defeat and failure stayed with me for months. "What is wrong with me"? It affected my performance, it made other clients seem harder to work with than they really were. I was dragging my own feet, defeating my self.

Finally I had to let go. Stop dwelling on it. We shall preserve our good vibe and energy to work with other clients, put other properties in escrows. Life doesn't stop here. We need to move on too.
