Lake view living on my budget? I didn’t think so until I found this then-hidden treasure of new construction and new pricing – affordable! When I actually got inside and discovered luxury apartments and a panorama to die for I was afraid to ask the rent!
Well I’ve discovered the people running the place are not only apartment managers but caring individuals. I’m jealous of their offices - they have a view even better than mine! What does it tell you about a place when the director lives at work? (Even the director doesn’t have the beautiful view I have!) The Echo Lake Apartments management group doesn’t just treat you like a neighbor, they are in fact neighbors.
Within the Echo Lake Apartments grounds is the YMCA. Like our residences, you can enjoy the same view while rock climbing indoors (I’d fall
for sure). Felt right at home not using it. But I did use the four months free membership. I prefer enjoying the view from the Jacuzzi. After a great workout or swim, of course.
I must admit, during the recent replay of the 40-day flood I was reluctant to walk from my apartment to the YMCA. Hey, it’s at least 100 yards from our security entrance! Go figure, there’s even a lake view walking there. So I drive. Can you imagine? I actually rather take the elevator down to the security parking Echo Lake Apartments provides (not free this one, hey!) and drive two hundred yards so I’m right next to the YMCA front doors. Yes, doors. One door gives you the option of walking up or down two flights of apartment stairs (the open glass walls give you a great view while starting your workout with the stairs!) or my door – the one that takes you to the elevator where you can’t see anything but it’s comfortable.
Sometimes I just use the free gym within the Echo Lake Apartments. Go down to the gym and enjoy the lake view with all the flora and fauna. Outside. Away from me. Lake view on an elliptical trainer. Does it get any better? Yes, if I owned a lake view apartment, but that is not in my budget. And isn’t that where we began?
