It is that time again for the annual Saint Simons Land Trust Oyster Roast at Fort Frederica. Get your tickets now for the 9th Annual St. Simons Land Trust Oyster Roast! Scheduled for this Friday, October 24, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Oyster Roast and Low Country Boil is the island's favorite al fresco event - under the moss-draped oaks at Fort Frederica National Monument. Tickets are $45 for members...$60 for non-members. There will be no rain date. Call 638-9109, or stop by the Land Trust office at 1625 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island.

Get ready for the annual Brunswick Rocking Stewbilee coming up the weekend of October 17-18, 2008! The annual Stewbilee kicks off on Friday October 17, 2008 with food, arts & crafts, and a disco costume contest followed by a disco karaoke contest. The night is headlined by K.C. & The Sunshine Band (tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate).

Saturday October 18th's events kickoff with a 5K disco fun run at 7am followed by a pooch parade at 9:30am. Stew tasting and a classic car show are from 11:30am until 2:30pm. Tickets for Saturday's stew tasting are only $6 for adults and $3 for children under 6 in advance. The tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for children the day of the event.
