After dealing with the national and local press for the past six years, Celebrity Real Estate Agent Aaron Auxier now looks and lives like this.

Aaron used to be such a nice young man who wore a suit and tie, kissed corporate people's butts, and won awards like below. He even kissed enough ass with local media so he could get quoted.

Now, Aaron is such a loser! Does he like really believe that being authentic and using Web 2.0 is the new way things work?! I mean, why wouldn't he just keep his mouth shut and not say anything like the rest of the robots who kiss ass to be successful?

Elvis has left the building.

It is with regret that I announce I'm leaving Las Vegas. Things in America have become more about money than relationships, experience, and knowledge. Never in my life have I experienced more discrimination. Never before have I seen a country live under such fear of "money".

Not so long ago, my city was about who you knew, your experience, connections, and knowledge. It was about relationships. A person could stand out, not have a dime, yet be the hero who everyone wanted to know.

Today, things are more based on banks and who best conforms to their "professionalism". Sorry, that is not why I moved to Sin City. I moved here because it was the greatest city in America where all types of people were accepted. It was a place where people were applauded for dreaming big, a magic city where "characters" were the norm, a place where the word impossible didn't exist.

While I'm not a quitter, I decided to leave Vegas to prove a point (because I believe that of all cities in America, Vegas has the best chance of overcoming the panic). One man's sacrifice is another man's gain.

When does it end? Who is more valuable to society, city, or family?..

A scumbag who breaks the law, just cares about money, and stays quiet and dresses normal? We all know there are plenty of those around.

Or an honest, passionate person who stands up for truth and stands out from the crowd? A rarity in today's corporate-run world.

I've seen many friends go from individuals to corporate-owned robots since this planned and plotted recession started.

Just like the new America...

The Las Vegas real estate market has become about who kisses more banker butt. Seems like the majority of real estate agents, regardless if they have nice websites, experience in developments, a certain niche, etc., as long as they are "good with the banks" they are good by everyone else (including the media and developers).

Well, I never went the bank route (and I feel proud to be able to say that). The banks don't own me. I'm not mainstream, I'm underground. I represent my CLIENTS, not the bank. Isn't that what relationship building and "representation" used to be about?

This city was built by people with guts, panache, and wild antics. In a world that has made strides with racism, why do we still judge each other on the way we dress or the way we talk? Why have I taken so much heat for having the courage to be an individual?

Doesn't our history show us that figures like Liberace and Howard Hughes are crucial to our growth? Since when was Vegas not about over-the-top personalities like Elvis Presley?

To my clients in escrow, I will be in contact. And while after dedicating 5 years of my life to MGM MIRAGE CityCenter, sadly I will not be here to witness her opening. It is my hope she will mark a new beginning for the city.

Wake up Vegas. It's not too late to stand up for freedom.

Put an end to being controlled. Think about how you can expand your acceptance and remember to value someone on their contribution and ability to provide a solution to your needs. Not how they "appear".

Enjoy the videos below, stop taking yourself and life so seriously, and remember how to laugh. Remember to consider other people's feelings. Be careful of who you make fun of, it may come back to haunt you (which of course then the media would gladly show on TV).

As for me? The further away from mainstream society I can be, the better. The further away from "normal" I become, the greater and more free I feel.

Born through artistic expression and passion, then teased by the bully oppressors, I'm ready for the carnival (You'll soon hear about what I mean by that)...

Vegas stands as the very answer to the problem of America. Think about that and begin the revolution.

Seems a tad counter intuitive huh? Because it is. For some reason, there is a perception that real estate agents must conform to some sort of level of "professionalism". However, Realtors rank very close to used car salesmen (in consumer polls).

Not me. Why? Because I am real. Because I put on no front for no person. I am Aaron Auxier, a unique individual who lives with passion, integrity, and honesty. First and foremost to myself, which then carries unto how I represent my city, my clients, and my craft.

To me, everything is art. My career as "Hollywood's Connection to Vegas" is no different. I think the industry of real estate would be much improved if we all looked at it with a more artistic appreciation for what we do.
