This beautiful Sun Drenched Monarch Butterfly danced around our Albuquerque backyard this morning and finally settled on our large Butterfly Bush...Imagine that! The morning sun was shining through his wings making his colors even more stunning.
Don't forget to spread your wings today and let the light shine through.
A couple of years back I had a serious online lead I followed up with and bingo we were off and running with my online shopper doing some serious searching.
Each morning I would have a long and detailed email from him expressing about the homes he had saved and how the wife and kiddos were excited about making the move from Indiana to Albuquerque. All of them were ready to escape the bitter winters and looking forward to riding around with top down in the 300 days of sunshine we enjoy.
In each email he always mentioned the kids doing this or that. In fact I began to look forward to his humorous and upbeat posts.
They soon arrived ready to see the Albuquerque home which they had already selected online. They absolutely loved it! I advised them to go back to the room check on their kids and discuss it before making an offer. So off they went to mull things over and of course make sure the kids had eaten.
I get a call from Mr. Buyer that afternoon inviting my wife and I to come on over to the Hotel room, bring the paperwork necessary to make an offer and meet the kids. We were greeted at the door by Mr. and Mrs. Buyer and kids who turned out to be 2 Schnauzers, 1 huge Beagle and 1 un-caged Cockatoo all which had free roam of the hotel room. KIDS? Yes, these were the kids that I had read about for weeks. In all the stories and adventures my buyer had shared he always spoke as if they were human kids. You can imagine the shock as my wife and I realize my buyers kids are beasts!
The short story is they indeed purchased their online dream home. The kids and parents all love their Albuquerque, NM home that came complete with doggie door and a sun-room that Cockatoo fully enjoys.
We have became good friends with these buyers and their kids. In fact they have been over to meet our Mini Schnauzer and shared plenty of advice on raising a good kid. Fun clients, smooth transaction and yes cool kids.
Are you planning a move to Albuquerque or Rio Rancho? Give us a call we would love to meet you and the kids!
These beautiful Red Hot Poker Plants or Torch Lily's bloom in mid to late summer here in Albuquerque New Mexico. You do not see these everywhere but always an eye catching treat when you do. The hummingbirds absolutely love these things! The striking colors easily live up to their common name.

My Buyers Loaded Up a 30 Pack of Beer for the Tour!
Back in the early days of my Real Estate career I had connected with a couple via my website from Kentucky, we emailed back and forth with homes to see and ultimately hotel itinerary. I was geared up and ready for a tour of about 20 homes all in the nearby Sandia Mountains. These folks were looking for mountain properties and I was going to help them find their dream home.
I arrive at their hotel at 9:00am and we greet each other as though we were long lost friends. I had to notice my customer AKA Billy Bob was drinking a beer...recall it’s 9:00am...seemed odd! We chit chat a bit and they gather their personal affects for the day then Billy Bob grabs a handle on this huge cooler on the floor and asked me to help hime put it in my trunk! Uhh (rookie
mistake here) sure! Just as we drop this behemoth in my trunk he opens it up & grabs another cold one. So my buyers loaded up a 30 pack of beer for the tour! We pile in my car and off we go!
About the time we hit highway speed Billy Bob lights up a cigarette then asks if he can smoke IN MY CAR..Uhh (another rookie mistake) sure...grumbling roll down the window please. At our first stop, BB’s first priority was you guessed it grab another brewsky but this time for him and his wife then lights up another stoggie..OMG! What have I done? It’s too late to look back...right? So we tour homes while drinking beer, smoking ciggies and just having one whale of a good time! I am having fun I think! Please don’t think they are rude or anything, I mean they did offer to share their canned delights! I did put my foot down when they started walking through peoples homes while sucking their ciggies n suds and peeing in their trees.
Long story with a short ending! I went to pick them up the following day to see some more homes and re-visit a few favorites. I never saw or heard from them again! Hey I bet I was a good tour guide though!
If your looking for a Realtor to help you find an Albuquerque Home I would be glad to help you but please don't bring your beer, we can celebrate after closing.

Just last night as my wife and I enjoyed some down time just sitting on the back patio, listening to the water fall, the crickets and the simple serenity of silence we noticed the eastern sky beginning to light up and slowly but surely this beautiful moon gracefully rose above the majestic Sandia Mountains and up through the few clouds that dotted the horizon. Sometimes we just need to be still and enjoy these simple things in life!
